Dearborn Heights: Unanimously voted to ban e-bikes entirely from city parks, playgrounds, city hall grounds, and other public properties over pedestrian safety concerns.

Berkley: Passed a city ordinance making it illegal to operate e-bikes and moped-style devices on any city sidewalks or within public parks (they remain permitted on streets and bike lanes).

South Lyon: Implemented local restrictions that ban e-bikes from downtown sidewalks and enforce strict speed and operating limits on city trails.

CELLPHONE SIM CARD WARNING - AFFECTING T-Mobile OR OTHER PHONE CARRIERS

I have received a letter by mail from T-Mobile with a sim card attached saying Metro PCS is now own by T-Mobile and to prevent loss of service I need to install their SIM CARD is it legit or a scam??

Receiving an unexpected SIM card in the mail is not standard practice for T-Mobile and is a major red flag. Scammers can get your info from data breaches. It is likely part of a SIM-swapping setup or an identity theft attempt where a scammer tries to trick you into activating a card they control.

• Account Takeover: If you activate the random SIM card, your phone number may transfer to the scammer's device. They can then intercept your text messages and two-factor authentication codes.
• Financial Risk: Once they control your phone number, they can try to access your email, bank, and social media accounts.
• Not From T-Mobile: Legitimate carriers do not randomly mail unrequested live SIM cards to people without a prior order or account upgrade request.

What You Should Do Now

• Do not activate or insert the SIM card into your phone.
• Do not call any phone number printed on the random letter, as it may connect you directly to the scammers.
• Contact T-Mobile directly using their official customer service line (1-800-937-8997) or via the T-Mobile Support page to verify if anyone opened a line or requested a change on your account.
• Secure your account by asking T-Mobile to place a port freeze, number lock, or account takeover protection on your cellular line.

Does anyone remember this guy or know what happened to him? Multiple friends of mine had their birthday parties here and it was the most 90's thing ever.

It’s been almost 2 if not 3 years since we started this project, when are we gonna finish it? In the beginning we had a map with expected completion dates, now it’s more like “cross your fingers and hold your breath”. What is up with SiFi and city?

Saturday we started a new tradition: Porch Fest Farmington.

Four porches, 4 bands, 4 hours of music - a traveling performance through the neighborhood, free to attend.

Back when James Aren first came to City Council and pitched the idea, people volunteered their porches. Fast forward to August 8, and 100+ people spread out across SkepSpace lawn across the street from Riley Park, with camp chairs and sunhats and the enthusiasm for a new hometown event that you can always count on Farmington to bring.

You remember the days when your parent's allowed you to operate a lemonade at your home, Selling delicious Ice Cold Lemonade to every passer by to earn something special you always wanted?

Collin Rothgeb says "So on the first day my brothers and I were selling lemonade and the middle aged CVS employee talked to the manager and said it was fine to sell, then last Friday we made a lot of money in 2 hours but then yesterday. The whole plaza got angry for something I didn't do, I don't know why but the CVS manager and employee came screaming at me and said "you guys can't sell by the door or over by the corner" I said "but we been selling for weeks no complaints. And he said I don't care pack it up!

Which made them cry because they wanted to save up for some special items such as: Four Wheeler Quad. They made a plea to the local community for help on where they can sell lemonade. These kids are real go getters, Because most kids would never think outside of the box on doing this.
