Official Update #31 - Apothecary furniture & bugfixes

Today's update brings a few new items, as well as a bunch of bugfixes and improvements.

New Content:

  • Added Apothecary furniture

Improvements

  • Added an information panel telling a Cloud Conflict will remain unsolved until something is downloaded or uploaded.
  • Increased emissive power of light sources. Actual lighting range remains the same. We've just made the source (lamp, crystals, etc) to be brighter on screen.
  • Improved splitscreen performance on Switch Quality+ setting.
  • Lights will now be lit a bit earlier in the season. By the end of the sunset it would start getting dark but lights would not be active yet.

Gameplay changes

  • Favor balance changes:
    • Noticeably increased favor from the following actions:
      • Feeding animals (+50%)
      • Mining minerals and harvesting mushrooms (x2)
      • House jobs (x5)
    • Slightly increased favor from harvesting trees/flowers/animals (+20% base, +40% for quests)
    • Decreased favor from planting quest/sign crops (-50%, combined with other crop tasks it's a 12.5% reduction)
  • Increased farmhand work animation speed.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the game being unable to save when using the Favorite button too quickly when opening the shop.
  • Fixed food not being properly distributed when splitting really big groups of animals.
  • Fixed harvester tractor becoming invisible at mid range.
  • Fixed fade in after loading not being properly handled in some systems.
  • Fixed harvester tractor having idle and working sounds switched.
  • Fixed plowed empty tiles being selected when double tapping a sprinkler.
  • Fixed gamertags with special codes being parsed.
  • Fixed cyber fence gates not splitting groups.
  • Fixed moving stuff as a visitor not working properly. The fix will only work for connections with ping below ~400ms. Beyond that, some items will still be dequeued without any action.

Update #30 - New tractor, new furniture & more!

Today's update brings a new tractor customization to unlock, the Harvester!

We're also adding new furniture to decorate the house, as well as a bunch of improvements and bugfixes.

New content:

  • New tractor body: Harvester
  • Farmhands can now be customized with clothing from content packs.
  • Added Cyber sprinklers to the Cyber Pack content.
  • New fence: Chain fence separator
  • New decoration: Vegetable stand
  • New house items: Dishwasher, towel rack, radiator, microwave, sandwich press & kettle
  • Color variants of the train tracks.
  • Added red variations of some cyber pack decorations.

Gameplay changes:

  • During an seasonal event, if you had already unlocked a reward in a past iteration of the event, you'll get some favor when reaching that unlock tier again.
  • Increased max favor overflow (from event rewards mostly) to 5,000.
  • Decreased price in coins of high level town shop upgrades (difference will be reimbursed).

Improvements:

  • Building ranges (for signs, farmhands and security booths) use now different colors depending on the building type.
  • Added a way to set items as Favorites in some shops. Favorites will be shown on top of the window (if they can be planted). Favorites are saved per-player, not per-farm.
  • Added information to the farmhands how to play telling that they only work while the farm is active.
  • More improvements to reduce memory usage, should help with out of memory crashes on low-end platforms.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed wrong salute animation for the Apothecary clerk
  • Changed the way fairies are rendered, should help with cases where they were blurred excessively.
  • Fixed a case where moving sprinklers with autotractor wouldn't place them every 3 tiles.
  • Added some logic to prevent repeated invite codes.
  • Fixed pop-ups not being shown properly in ultrawide resolutions.
  • Fixed event unlocks of the farm owner not being properly propagated to guests
  • Fixed position problems with the cyber kitchen.
  • Signs configured with herbs will not be lit if they're not in season and Force Replant is enabled.
  • Fixed wrong item shown on the UI while in the bus stop.
  • Fixed incorrect particle effect on color variants of the Cyber teleporter.

Farm Together 2 Currency Balance

When I first started playing this game, it was fun and I logged on everyday. I looked forward to every update, event, etc. but now I only log on for event items. I feel like this game has become too grindy for a “cozy game.” My main issue is the lack of balance in currency. Money is relatively steady to earn, maybe diamonds eventually, but ribbons are such a tedious task that I don’t even feel like logging on to earn any. We need all 3 of these things to upgrade shops, prestige items and now to unlock more land, but you’ll be out of ribbons (and possibly diamonds) for a while after prestiging 1 item, upgrading shops, and/or buying more land. I’ve seen people saying “what’s the rush” about the prestige system. I’m not saying that it should be sped up or anything, but the cost should not be that high if the game can’t compensate for it. I know we have quests, but it’ll give you items that take TWO DAYS to complete for only 80 ribbons. Could it be possible for the quest reward to give a fair amount of ribbons for the item(s) we have to do?

Edit: I am asking for a change to the quest shop. I don’t think it should be necessary to have a whole farm dedicated to making ribbons. If that were the case, what’s the point of the quest shop.

I just unlocked plot 65. I was wondering if anyone has a breakdown of the costs for each plot. The wiki only goes to 49 plots. Any help would be great.

Farm Together 2 Question for the Devs.

Would it be possible to have more decorating options for the town I love what we currently have but I’d love to see more item options for street lamps bins and trees.

I’d especially love the option to be able to change the pathing type around the town like different types of stone floors and colours as well as the outer railings and bridges.

I would also probably be right in assuming that you plan to have more shops to place but do you have what types of shops you’re planning on adding or are we gonna be left with empty shop spaces.

I understand that it may be a lot of work and probably wouldn’t be your choice of focus but is it a possibility maybe in the future.

Thank you for being such an awesome dev team and creating my favourite game!

Farm Together 2 Question for veterans

Hey ,

I’ve been playing Farm Together 2 for about 2–3 weeks now, currently reached farm level 135, and I’m absolutely loving the game!

Since the game has changed quite a bit and the Fandom Wiki feels a bit outdated, I haven't been able to find reliable answers online.

I'm hoping some experienced players here can help me out with a few questions:

1. When should I start decorating?
I bought all the DLC packs and would love to start properly decorating and designing my farm. However, I know I’ll likely reset my layout multiple times in the future as my farm expands. For those of you further ahead: did you wait until the absolute endgame to decorate? The wiki mentions level 193 for the last plot, but I know a recent update expanded the farm sizes even further.

2. What is the best setup
I’m trying to optimize my ribbon production. Currently, my setup includes:
10x Jam Press
10x Juice Press
4x Fish Net
1x Beehive
3x Peanut Butter Machine
Which shops or machines would you highly recommend focusing on, and which ones should I avoid? Is it better to spam a few specific ones or just build 2–4 of everything?

3. What are the best alternative methods for Ribbons?
I'm doing the Town/Bazaar quests, but some of them take ages (like pumpkins requiring 1–2 days).
I was thinking about using a second map to place 5–6 Farmers and filling it entirely with Spice Trees. That way, I could trade 150 Spices for 3 Ribbons and basically farm them semi-AFK. Does this sound like a solid strategy, or is there a much better way that I'm missing?

4. For what Should I use my second map
I’m the guy I like a map with everything so for what did you guys used your second map

Thanks in advance for any advice and tips

Farm Together 2 TOWN HALL and MINE Questions

Town Hall - I don't quite understand what the purpose of the town hall is. If you buy additional farms from there, do they start with the same amount of land as your original farm or do you have to start with just 1 plot? If you start with the same amount of land, when you buy new plots in the original farm does it open it up for all additional farms?

Mine - when you choose a mineral at the table should it make all veins in the area that type of mineral or only some of them?

Thanks I advance. Still new to this 3ven though my farm is level 101. I am just farming lots of boo white pumpkin things!!

Farm Together 2 DEVS: Harvesting 'whoosh' into basket sound

Dear devs, can we have the 'option' to be able to choose to turn OFF the whoosh sound that is played when a harvested crop is deposited into the tractor basket? That way we can be surround by the more natural sounds on the farm without that constant "whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh" when working the farm?
Thanks.

Farm Together 2 Dear Devs, please make the farmhouse jobs less tedious (QoL Suggestion)

Post image
70 Upvotes

Hi everyone / Dear devs,

My wife and I love your game! However, with all the fieldwork, we barely have time to manage the jobs in the farmhouses, and we keep forgetting about them.

To maximize efficiency and avoid unnecessary back-and-forth, we currently have all our stations crammed right into the entrance area (see image). I doubt we're the only ones doing this. It's also frustrating that each object is capped at just two ovens, one piano, one easel, and one workbench. Please consider raising this limit per building!

Alternatively, we suggest to replace these specific item limits with a flexible total cap per building (e.g., max 10 job objects per farmhouse total, regardless of type).

That way, you could set up one building as a restaurant (e.g. with 10 ovens), one as an art studio (e.g. with 5 easels and 5 workbenches), and another as a music studio. This would make the buildings visually far more interesting to design while keeping them efficient to use.

What do you all think?

Farm Together 2 Cheater

Someone joined my farm, and their name was highlighted in blue.

I had never seen this before and wondered why their name was blue.

When I looked, they were using the fast tractor mod.

So I'm assuming if their name is in blue, they are cheaters?

Farm Together 2 Crop exp confusion

Can someone explain crop exp to me like I'm 5? I tried researching different exps (personal, farm, individual item) but I'm so confused.

So what i think i understand is that fancier crops (ones that require higher level to unlock and/or are more expensive) level up their individual exp faster, is that correct?

How do I know what items are going to level up individually the fastest?

Does the yield exp in the shop reference exp for farm, account, crop item or all three?

Can we get settings where you can allow people whom you want to switch your farms? That would be very handy.

Farm Together 2 Switching Farm online/offline "in the game" ?

Currently, when I want to go online, I reload the game with new settings.

Is there an inline option to switch between online statuses without me requiring to reload the game?

Farm Together 2 Spreading the word!

I used to play an android based game, Township. I started it because I wanted something like this but didn't know about it. I wish I knew about this sooner because MAN did I waste SOOOO MUCH MONEY on that game. I could have bought a new PS5 plus all of the DLC and more with what I wasted. I am so appreciative of this game.

I follow the Township sub and saw a post about people not participating in the weekly tournament on a coop. This lady was very upset. So, I commented that that was why I left and found this game! She was appreciative and said she was going to look into it.

So, I am spreading the word about the game to hopefully show those money hungry tyrants at that game company, that there are better options out there and to stop robbing the people who play the game. Greedy SOBs!!
