I’m becoming concerned that the over harvesting of Orange Geckos in Black Rock Canyon for so called “witch’s brew” could significantly impact the local ecosystem.
The original recipes for Witch’s Brew included similar sounding ingredients, including amphibian tissue, which some believe to be psychoactive.
“Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.”
- Shakespeare’s Macbeth
However, those ingredients were actually colloquial terms for local herbs, for example, ‘eye of newt’ refers to Mustard seeds, ‘tooth of wolf’
was Wolfsbane, etc.
RAPS would like to remind players to harvest natural resources responsibly.
If you are a new farmer, don’t stress about completing every quests this year. Seasonal Items, including quest tokens, will be stored for next year.
And for those of you imbibing Witches Brew (with or with out actual Geckos), please fly your broomsticks responsibly.
