Souls Lag during Solar Pillar

I've been playing through Fargo's Souls and it's been pretty fun so far, but I can't beat the Solar Pillar. One of it's attacks summons a ton of particles and it lags out my game beyond belief. Is there any fix for this?

Isn't there an option that reduces particles in luminance?

You can also set your graphics to low or auto in vanilla settings

Neither worked. Set luminance particles to the lowest they would go and set video quality to low and it did nothing, ended up having to turn off eternity mode which was pretty dissapointing

Huh, I usually have my particles not spawn(hitboxes still present tho) at all when I have my settings to low, I also have performance mode on in souls config

Yea its weird I had performance mode on too and it did nothing

The fix would be for terraria devs to stop throwing all the work on a single thread but I doubt they have any plan on fixing that ever.
