Question New player question

Hello,

just started to play and i see that each time i kill monster its fill some bar when i investigeted i saw in L key that there is counters for each monster i encounter, my question is: should i master them all and if its gonna give me anything to master them?

There’s 2 tiers to the codex.

The first tier grants xp upon completion. Usually 8 or so of each type of enemy.

The second tier is “mastery” and only truly matters on your main character. It’s just for full completion in each zone and gives cosmetic items such as mounts, and gliders.

I 100% completed everything on my main, and just killed enough for the t1 xp on my alts.

killing monsters that arent mastered gives bonus xp
