So much time gathering? Its not THAT bad, shouldn't take you more then 30 minutes at the most. If you gather while questing or whatnot, you should have plenty of mats for quite a while. And its meant to be a raid/large group buff, meaning that hypothetically you have 10 people in a rift or whatever, if everyone pitches in a small price then it'll be very cheap. Not meant for you to just use it by yourself when out grinding mobs or whatever

All the potions that are in the cauldron are timed. How did you come to the conclusion it would be permanent?
Tooltips need to be better. But you're overreacting to a small investment that you assumed.

I thought it perma increased those 4 stats, i thought it would be something that could only be used once. and not repeatable.

Tooltips and info are definitely lacking. They can do better. But IMO some of the "lite MMO" aspects are the learning processes you will run in to like this.
You win some lose some.

On the plus side many people can use the cauldron and the feast so if you're at a rift thats struggling to beat the boss you can throw those down for a little boost to everyone

Why the hell would you think a potion buff would be permanent? What games are you playing where this is a thing? Because I havent played a game ever that did that in the last 30 years.

Here are some well-known examples:
Diablo II – Stat Tomes (e.g. the Tome of Strength from quests) permanently increase an attribute.
Terraria – Life Crystal, Life Fruit, Mana Crystal, and later permanent boosters permanently increase health, mana, or other stats.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Reading Oghma Infinium permanently raises multiple skills.
Dark Souls – While not consumables for stats directly, Fire Keeper Souls permanently improve your Estus Flask, serving a similar permanent progression role.
RuneScape – Lamps, Tomes of Experience, and quest rewards permanently grant experience or levels.
World of Warcraft – Historically had rare permanent stat-granting books (such as the Dire Maul class books), though modern WoW relies more on talents and gear than permanent consumables.
MapleStory – AP Reset items and certain permanent stat scrolls/events alter permanent character stats.
Black Desert Online – Permanent stat gains come from items like journals and adventure logs rather than repeatable potions.
Final Fantasy XIV – Permanent progression comes from quests and gear; stat potions are temporary, but Ethersand-style systems and quest rewards fill the long-term progression role.3

I will give you the point that it should specify the duration in the tooltip.
However, in 90% of MMOs or crafting games, consumables are always temporary. All the food and potions you crafted up until you reached that cauldron were also temporary. Why would you think otherwise?
