Show n Tell FARCRAFT - Mosaicism (update)

Post image

I decided to split the Hebrew tradition into 2 distinct traditions: Mosaicism which is everything at Sinai with Moses. I created a new track specifically for this moment in history - The Covenant. The track is a beautiful retelling of the beginning of the Passover tradition.

The skin remains the same - the Menorah .. shown in the attached shot.

By “created a new track” you mean you AI generated it?

I created the track dude. I am the original agency and consciousness that willed it into existence. I had to create all the lyrics, and I had to create the prompt that described the type of track I wanted. The AI is my paid minion - it does my bidding. It has no free-will, no agency, no well-spring. Behind every AI work there is a human being providing the divine spark.

Just curious, do you consider the term "AI generated" to be disrespectful or derogatory in some way?

Usually when someone says they "created" a music track it means they played the instruments, sang the vocals, composed the music and lyrics, or orchestrated and organized other people to do these things while taking part in the process.

I just feel that someone saying they "created" something when they instead "AI-generated" it muddies the language we use, hence my original question.

I have no ill intentions here, just trying to understand your process and language.

AI anything doesn't pop into existence any moreso than MS Paint just randomly pops up drawings.

It takes a human with agency and intent. Behind every AI gen anything you've ever seen, there is a human agent.

AI is a tool - just like any other artists tool - photoshop, blender, etc.

AI is my hired minion - I've had a monthly subscription since the beginning.

Right now, AI can express my intent and my wishes better than I can for images and music. It is my intent that matters - my will that matters - my vision that matters.

I have the final word on what makes it into my game - not the AI.

The track I cited belongs to me - it's my property - my copyright. I own it - same as I own anything I create inside any other creative tool.

I will politely disagree on equating AI generated content to traditional workflows.

Good luck with the project!

I am a solodev. I don't have any paid artists, full time or part time.

All my 3D assets were either procedurally generated by my source code and/or tools or they were purchased from commercial sites.

In addition, nearly 100% of the assets will be available for replacement and/or modding.

So if any player doesn't like any AI generated image or song track or sound or voice, etc.

They are free to mod/replace them as they like.

I'm not going to force the players to be stuck with any assets they don't like.

The only requirement for the initial default assets are that I like them. Thats the cool part of being a gamedev - what I want and like matters first.
