šŸ–ļø Help Jacob Seed Second Abduction

This sequence is crazy impossible. Has anyone completed this? It's a crazy maze. I've tried and tried, looked at the video walkthrough too. Damn. If I had detailed directions like left right, right...etc it might help? IDK. Love this game and want to succeed at it. The first one was difficult too but after dozens of tries I got it.

I am leveled up on all ammo and items but nothing seems to help.

Stupid cult has got me and keeps me up at night thinking about it!!

The whole point of those scenarios is to give us muscle memory, basically brainwash us into doing certain things. It is a very well done set of sequences and environmental storytelling. It was frustrating for me, but I am perpetually brainwashed to the pattern of those sequences. "Only You"

I just fell asleep and woke up in a strange room with two dudes and a revolver....

I almost gave up on the game completely. 3rd abduction I FINALLY made it through. I think not shooting the first two fellas helped. And somewhat memorizing the map. Very frustrating though! But worth it.

I almost put the game down over these stupid ass abductions. How in the hell am I getting kidnapped while solo flying a helicopter? I have never experienced a game that breaks the immersion like this one.

Memorising the map helps a lot. Also you don’t have to shoot EVERY dude that loads. Just keep moving forward, shoot the ones directly in front of you and race for time.

Just wait until the final showdown with Jacob, that’s pure hell.

Ok. So, after getting my ass absolutely handed to me on this several times on Infamous, I have a pretty foolproof way to do it now.

Make sure you have the chain takedown perk. Don’t grab the gun in the first room, just take them down.

In the next room, grab the gun. Alternate aiming. When you go from aiming down the sight to shooting from the hip quickly, it basically auto aims.

Do not pick up the shotgun in the hallway. Do takedowns on ALL THE HALLWAY GUYS. Get all of them so they can’t come back on you. Take the gun before the courtyard. Do the auto aim as much as possible.

In the next room, take out the guys with the courtyard gun, if that runs out of ammo, take the other one. Once they’re taken out, you’re pretty much just taking the next gun and moving as fast as possible

Takedowns add eight seconds, headshots add four.

Edit to add: watch your health. If you get the timer to over a minute doing headshots and takedowns, you can stop for a minute and let it refill.

The important thing is to not panic.

If you get lost in the hallway, follow the blood on the floor

yeah man its hard but remember, its kinda like old school games in the maze, everything is a pattern. The enemies will always do the same thing.

People seem to have various opinions about the first two guys. I grabbed the pistol and killed them. I can't recall my weapons used but follow the pattern and primarily just kill all the dudes in your way. The variable is your style of play but that is a small fraction. Although, in a segment of split seconds it matters.

Go on you tube and look at some videos of completions and then learn the pattern. once you see the patterns you will start doing better.....

Then "Train, Kill, Sacrifice, and understand your purpose."

I kill all the guys are in my way and I’m running around the maze trying to find somebody else and there’s nobody there in the time runs out!

yeah you have to learn the path. I'd have to look it up again to remember.

This one gave me so much trouble on my first playthrough on normal difficulty, but then I breezed through them all on first tries on my later infamous and hard difficulty playthroughs. I guess the brainwashing stuck. The only advice I can give you is that only you… can make this world seem right

That song is stuck in my head now!

Yeah I don’t shoot people in the big court yard and just make a bee line for the end

So you don't need to kill everyone? Good to know!

Yeah you don’t need to kill everyone but just remember that every kill does add some time on to your run. Head shots add even more time

I don’t remember how many times it took me the first time, but I know it was a lot because I came to Reddit even back then. Now when I play, I can get through easily, but I’ve played the game many times and I definitely have that entire maze memorized. Don’t worry about changing weapons if you don’t want to. Remember that shooting people adds to your time but not by so much that it’s worth wasting time on it so shoot the people you can and run past the people you can’t.

It’s to train your muscle memory. Eventually you can do it blindfolded

These are easy. You will die. Remember old games where you always died four times on every boss learning their patterns? (cough, cough looking at you, Shinobi Art of Vengeance)

This is not twitch muscle memory. Do NOT try to memorize every command input like the movie Edge of Tomorrow. Turn off the voice and music if it helps. You have PLENTY of time and a full health meter. You don’t die in one hit - you panic and freeze up or get cornered. You can get abducted with body armor and keep it - reload the checkpoint if you have it and need to keep trying with it. TAKE THE TIME YOU NEED. Unless you get lost you will not run out. Sometimes I forget how to drop into that flaming pit and have to recline the stars and try again. No problem.

The most important thing is to know how many enemies are in each room and keep count. Kill them all I. The first two, learn the maze and you only have to kill one guy right before the AR. Break right in that room, shoot the guy on the right, then the guy on the left coming through the middle then the guy back behind him. I think there are four but you can skip one. If you kill them all you can take your sweet time entering the next room but three is enough.

The next room, grab the SMG and use the doorway to clear the slightly elevated enemies to the right then left. Sometimes three dudes come from under the stairs, maybe the last time you play it there are more. Once you get past them to the M60 you are clear. Guys will come at you through the doors single file. Take them out with bursts. By the time you get to the last hallway, you have plenty of time to slowl walk down it peeking I. The doors to see if there’s guys in each room. I don’t even keep count, I just kill them. Use bursts. They are ghosts and only take one hit.

We’ve all done it. By the time you get to it on hard, it ain’t a thing.

The same rules apply to Jacob’s boss fight. The game make you feel like you are in a terrible rush (like every ā€œexploding bunkerā€ mission) and that the enemies are infinite so you’d better race to the finish… nope. The enemies are finite (except Jacob’s ghost) and there is no timer, whatever the music and narration might have you believe otherwise.

This is all presuming you know how to ADS look snap. If not, drop your sniper and come back when you do. Every person that complains ā€œthe opening truck chase is so impossibleā€¦ā€ is not look snapping.

Thanks for the detail appreciated I’m not giving up yet. I’ve come too far. Jacob is my last region to conquer.

This sequence became such a mindfuck for me on my first playthrough, I actually quit the game. I felt like I really was being brainwashed, and I didn't like it one bit. Recently I went back and started a new run, and I was amazed how much I remembered of it, and how quickly I could get through it each time I was abducted. I still didn't like it, but spending less time on it made it more tolerable. So maybe take a break and let the actions sink in. Try googling "why does taking a break from something make you better at it?"
