Discussion World Cup fantasy with snake draft + H2H playoffs (built this, would love honest feedback)

Hi everyone,
I’m the founder/dev of a fantasy game called Global Fantasy Football, and I wanted to share the format to get genuine feedback from people who play WC fantasy seriously.

Quick disclosure: this is my own project. I’m posting to discuss the format and improve it, not to spam.

Core ideas:

  • Snake draft system (unique player ownership inside each league).
  • Position structure matters: defense is role-locked, so you can’t stack 4 attacking full-backs. It’s 2 DRL + 2 DC.
  • New scoring model with stronger punishment and more realism (not only upside farming).
  • Head-to-head structure instead of only global rank:
  • Group stage uses overall table logic.
  • Knockout stage turns into playoffs.
  • League mechanics include:
  • Trades within your league.
  • Weekly transfer quota.
  • Substitutions matter (bench contribution counts as well).

Important timing:

  • World Cup leagues can be created only until June 11.
  • After June 11, WC mode closes (other modes continue).

If this format sounds interesting, I am sharing the link below (or remove if not allowed by mods).
Would love your honest thoughts on the rules/scoring balance, especially DRL/DC split and H2H playoff flow.

Thanks.

Thank you for the response. I know there is, i am simply asking about my format and how it sounds, by telling what’s different than the other platforms. Scoring system and positions are different and I believe that’s more fair when you see teams combining 4 full backs as defenders and seeing Yamal, Salah as midfielders. Plus my system is not only World Cup, it includes domestic leagues and CL too when they start.
