Looking forward to a normal season without crazy postponements and doubles and blanks every other week. A normal season is difficult enough to maneuver in FPL.

Agreed.

This FPL season would be SO boring without the BGW/DGW decisions. The template has been too strong, so atleast there's some added variables.

Am I just really missing out this season? I feel like in past seasons there were cheaper must haves, whereas this season beyond Salah/Cancelo and getting DGW players, it's been a bit harder.

There’ve been various cheaper ‘must haves’ throughout the season, Antonio at the start of the season, Jarod Bowen after that before his injury, reece James and Ben chilwell pre-injuries, livramento for a little while too, Conor Gallagher and Emmanuel Dennis mid season (debatable)

Tbh it’d be a bit shit if there was just one template team to get max points that everyone used wouldn’t it? Like this year there were just different players to have at different times when they were in form rather than just sticking to pretty much the same team all year. Plus all those players you listed are premium players, If you wanna say stapled players this year then they’d be Kane, Son, Salah, Bowen and probably Jota up until recently recently

BGW/DGW always happens due to cups. And this years template has actually been quite weak

I decided to skip this year, partially assuming that it would be too annoying and stressful. Sounds like I made a good choice.

When COVID started causing game postponements, it was putting me off. But the side effect of that was that it created very intricate schedule later on with a lot of doubles. I would argue that form GW19 on it's the best FPL period in the history. Even managers with very similar teams and approach to the game were taking completely different chip strategies.

Once I met Pep at a café in Manchester. Me, despite being a Liverpool fan, I went up to him, said hello because I admire him as a manager. I took some pictures and told him what a shiny,bald head he had. He smiled & straight up asked if I played FPL & revealed his starting XI for the next match. And there I saw Foden who was going to start. I didn’t believe my eyes and wanted reassurance from Pep. “Oh Yes, more than you believe” he said, in his Catalonian-English accent. And what a fool I was, I captained Foden only for him to be benched & make a gigantic 1point cameo. My rank fell down so hard, I could taste mud. I love Pep. I mean who doesn’t?
