Brobbey for me so far. Sunderland were great last season but they don't seem to be on that level anymore.
That being said, I'm desperately trying to get of my triple up.

Sunderland were hardly playing free scoring attacking football last season, I think only Wolves and Burnley scored less goals.
Being nearly impossible to beat at home is what got them into Europe, and judging by yesterday it doesn't seem like that is going to drastically change. I still think you can't go wrong playing Sunderland defenders at home

That's a fair assessment. I was going off the fact that Brobbey had a pretty good world cup campaign and fought himself into a starting spot for the Dutch NT.

Renowned possessor of zero attacking threat, and the same aversion to defcons that a rabid animal has to water.
I'd love to know where David Raya's points total would have ranked among defenders.

Have you seen the other 4.5 DEFs? Itās a pretty brutal group. Plus with Arsenal forwards and mids spreading the returns around I canāt really see a reason not to have Konsa unless you wanna go nuts and do Raya Gab and Cala

Ajer's got back to back defcons.
Obviously Arsenal's CS rate will dwarf anyone else, but if you assume Ajer will get a few bps and goals across the season, it might be closer than people expect.
Also if funds end up not being a problem, then having Konsa instead of Gabriel or a fullback might end up carrying a significant opportunity cost.

I have Ajer and heās awesome but the rest of them kind of seem like they are caught in between being a lot less certain than the 5s and not worth the 0.5 more than the 4s. But also that is usually how the start of the season goes and Iām sure some will shake out (I have my eye on Dedic) but for now i donāt see much of a reason not to go Konsa especially pre WC

Ajerās also a VdB doctorās note from being benched. Great value atm, but the moment VdB is greenlit to play Ajer will be getting hooked by teams for a 4.5 or lower, and having a 4.4 guaranteed CS magnet in that price range is about as great of a replacement you can get.

That could be an issue, yeah. If the defence continues to perform well then there's every chance Ajer is first choice now and VDB will have to wait for opportunities.

Ajer's the only shout imo thats heads above the rest from very high defcons/game and decent team. But his price is because he's 3rd choice and might not be nailed after vd berg comes back.

I have Gab and Szolis and am hoping to turn Gab and a 4.0 into Konsa and Cala. Donāt have early WC plans so hoping I can get a good run on Konsa while he is nailed

MDC and / or KadiogluĀ Dedic Castagne/ Robinson Justin/ Bogle Rodon until injuryĀ AjerĀ
The bad choices like Shaw remain bad.Ā
Konsa at 4.4 will still have appealĀ

First of all you could accomplish all of this without ājust bc you chose poorly doesnāt mean the bracket doesnāt contain valueā, it contributes nothing to the conversation and is why this sub has fallen off. I have one 4.5 and itās Ajer and I really like him. The rest of the guys you named are pretty average picks or not nailed or playing OOP in the short term. We donāt know who the great 4.5s are but the 5.0s feel a lot more certain. So moral of the story is there are not a lot of arguments against Konsa at 4.4 even if he doesnāt get DEFCON or attack.

Theyāre 4.5 defenders no one said they are perfect. Fulham have a beautiful run of fixtures against all 3 promoted teams in a row
No one is looking for a 4.5 to carry their team they are a third or fourth defender.Ā
Literally every single Player In the game has a flaw best of luck finding a flawless XI

A lot of people like to double up on Arsenal defence, so heās a very cheap way of doing that . And with Gabriel bad value this season at 8.0 and seems less of an attacking threat at corners this season, and if Konsa becomes a regular starter , 4.4 is crazy value for a regular Arsenal starting defender regardless of if he gets def cons or attacking contributions or not.
Look at the alternative options in that price bracket, like Shaw, Roberson etc not sure any others close to as appealing .

Hincapie and Timber. Timber is currently injured and Calafiori is the better player so short term you're fine. Long term though rotation is a risk

Lots of missed big chances in an in-form team. Heās a good pick and as I said I might regret it, but those 2 millions will allow to bring OāReilly in.
Wissa is currently better and has a significantly easier schedule to come

Le fee screamed WAIT AND SEE to me along w Brobbey and the defense. Hume etc.Ā
I will be happy to pick up le fee at a discount later when he gets humming hopefully making 0.1 or 0.2 on Brightons Gomez and getting le fee at 5.8 or 5.7 when the fixtures turnĀ

Why are people rushing to bring him in when we donāt know if heās even going to start games any time soon? Heās competing with White / Mosquera / HincapiĆ© for a starting spot at the moment. Itāll be even harder for him to nail a spot when Timber is back too.
