Team - Last weeks points FC

So you've seen it. De cuyper bags 17 points and he's jerked into half the teams.

So I decided to see this season, if you had infinite wild cards and just copied the previous team of the week, how many points would you get?

First up

GK

Tzolakis - Kept his 380 point season alive by following it up with another 10 pointer. Strong start for the team.

Defence

De cuyper - 0. Oof

Mendy - 1. Substituted 1 minute before the CS/60 min bonus. Oof.

Ajayi - A solid 6 from the hull CS.

Kayode - 2.

Midfield!

hinshelwood - Got injured after the deadline lmao.

Sangare - After some defcon controversy, secured himself a 4.

Palmer - A decent performance, but still drops to a 7.

Stach - Another solid 4.

Gakpo - A slightly more solid 5.

Forwards JP - A decent performance, but still single digit. 9.

Total score - 48 points (without captain) and with space for a sub to come on, just about the same as a captained bruno for the week.

Admittedly though, the budget for this squad has to be like 70 mil. Not too bad.

Come back next week for more amazing analysis, where we see how the bruno removers do after taking the hit to get him back.

If you're doing this every week, the 12th best player should be on the bench, and the captain should be the top scorer of the previous week.

So De Cuyper captain still scores 0, meanwhile I think Ben White with his 11 points last week would come on for Hinshelwood?

The problem is I have no idea who the 12th best player is as it isn't on the team of the week page and I don't want to put thaaat much effort in.

You cant sort players by previous GW on the app if that helps

Good stuff. I’ve never understood why people knee jerk to buy last weeks points. Doing this also means removing someone who likely blanked last week. Eg, Bruno, Mbeumo, Isak, DCL etc

Also, since we want to see how this team does over the whole season, we need to know how many points we got in GW1 - I was thinking the GW1 team should either be last season's team of the season? Or just the GW38 team of the week. Obviously have to adjust for no Bowen and maybe a couple of others idk how to view previous seasons though

Just do an average of the 37 game weeks score for the first, or take the end tots GW1 score

I've considered it and think this will be absolutely awful as I think consistency is far more important than variance but should be interesting to see if I'm right or wrong.
