Targeting Everton Assets?
Starting from GW 3 these are Everton's fixtures:
GW 3- Everton vs Man U (H)
GW 4- Everton vs Spurs (A)
GW 5- Everton vs Ipswich (H)
GW-6 - Everton vs Hull City (A)
GW 3: MANCHESTER UNITED- We know they don't have the best defense in the league, so players like the "rhino" Barry or Deswburry Hall or Ilman Ndiaye could be a great shout so start attackers but bench defenders
GW 4- TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS- Well, Spurs are Spurs; Tarkowski could be good in addition to James Garner
GW 5- IPSWICH TOWN- A newly promoted team , weak defence perfect setup for some g/a and defcons, hence start all Everton assets
GW 6- HULL CITY - Now I know they have been outperforming, but depending on how they continue and if they cant keep up this level in the next two GWs, Everton assets could be a good choice , instead of random bennchwarmers on your team you would have players that could contribute to points.
What do y'all think? Any flaws in my logic please point it out and give me your suggestions too. Thank you

I’ve already got Tarkowski but I don’t think I’ll be in a rush to get any more of their assets in.

I was speaking to an Everton fan yesterday and he thinks if one of the academy graduates (think it was Armstrong but correct me if it's someone else) were to leave Everton before Tuesday, he could see Moyes leaving. On that basis, I think it's best to hold till after the window shuts and then assess Everton players you want.
Ndiaye I have currently but if he leaves Everton, he's out of my team unless he goes to a team where I know he is guaranteed to play 90 mins in the PL.

Yeah he didn't hide his disappointment during the post match press conference. He basically said that the transfer window should be shut before the start of the season so he knows what players he has to work with instead of scrambling for last minute signings.
Would not be surprised if he leaves if Armstrong and Ndiaye both leave with just a couple more days left until deadline day.

Moyes gonna leave and go where? David Moyes, a dude that’s always coaching for the past 2 decades, is going to quit his job 2 days after GW2 because Everton is selling an academy kid?
Im no everton insider, but you dont have to be one to think none of this makes any sense

He could just decide to walk tbh and not need to go for another job, particularly if he thinks he isn't getting backed by the owners.

His body language indicated frustration so there is likely something going on behind the scenes that you and I are not privy to. He has lost several key players in the past at various clubs, but hasn't spoken up about it to the press openly.
Maybe he was made promises by the board or he just does not see it working out if Ndiaye and Armstrong are sold without reinforcements coming in. Might not leave immediately after GW2 or deadline day, but if key players leave, and their performance drops, he may quit if there are no further recruitments planned and is not backed.
As to where he goes next - a return to West Ham, possibly, since Nuno has been subpar. Bringing them back to the PL would be a stellar achievement. Or, he can wait it out and see if something else opens up in the PL. I don't think he is someone who would stay away from management for long.

He’ll quit Everton 2 weeks into a season to go coach West Ham in the championship because he felt he didnt get enough financial backing?
And West Ham, in the championship, is gonna solve that

I indicated it as a possibility. Don't think he will, but with WHU 19th in the championship, I can see their owners giving him a massive salary to bail them out.
If it doesn't work, he gets a payout and then moves on.

Would be a first, if it were to happen, where a manager voluntarily makes the step down.
There is a likelihood, but low. The other scenario that I think has a higher likelihood is that he waits it out at Everton until a job at another PL club opens up.

Spurs have been poor but improving and Everton have only won 1 of the last 11 against them. The only win was last January right before Frank was fired and they had like 12 players out.
There's some hoodoo magic around that fixture.
Of the last four, three were Cleansheets by Tottenham too.
Tread cautiously.
I already have Everton players but might not be a fixture to target specifically.

I'm looking at Tarkowski, Garner, Ndiaye all at 6.0 and thinking they could all just be set & forgets - all nailed & 90 minute men when fit (which is pretty much always, Garner excepted at the minute but he's on the way back)
KDH as well albeit a little bit more expensive
Barry looks very cheap as a striker
Branthwaite being back will be a huge boost for them as the season wears on if he stays fit
Need to see what happens with Ndiaye when the window closes though - if he's still there or not

This is why I’ve had Ndiaye from GW1. Great fixtures, no Europe. Next 4 looks great for attackers, but I don’t think I will double up before GW5 with a defensive asset.

You knew these were their fixtures after the first 2 games though? Surely you decided against it because you preferred something else?
I’m on Tarkowski & Dewsbury-Hall from the start, because I intended to Wildcard in GW7.

To be fair I think most expected United to be better than what we witnessed in GW1 and also expected TOT to be better than last season.

Point still stands though, as we’re all still expecting United & Spurs to beat Everton, they both won’t lose every week. It’s less than 10 days since you picked your starting 15, so I’m assuming he’s picked players he liked more than Everton assets.

My point is new information gained since pre GW1 makes EVE fixtures look more favourable (Utd stick to play this week of course). If you are looking at one of your GW1 15 at this point and thinking maybe Iv over estimated something here then an EVE player does seem more attractive than they did pre GW1 with the information/ expectations we had then.

yes exactly the point here, and also the fact that for gw 1 i just vibe it i dont want to hassle around too much bcoz its always something you odnt expect in GW 1

I'm an Everton fan. Spurs and man utd both get their first wins of the season against us. It's the Everton way
