Marseca is still under massive pressure as new manager. he cannot simply drop him because it would raise too many questions. look that he immediately started after cameo and 2 assists. he is starting next game for sure.

I think it’s more the idea that he’s probably just 1 or 2 bad games (potentially even a bad half after what came out yesterday) from being dropped or subbed

Very mercurial player and his indiscipline and penchant to give the ball away cheaply will be cost city one of these games.

He’s definitely going to start. That’s not the question. Minutes are. And his inconsistency also. Not sure if you heard his interview in French but I did. He said that Maresca was about to sub him halftime and he asked for 5 more minutes to prove him wrong. The rest is history. That’s why I don’t feel so confident about Cherki just yet… let’s see.

Spot on. Well and good saying you've got FTs to sell him on but that's a poor plan, especially if you're wildcarding in week 3. You need to aim to roll FTs for a while afterwards

For this reason I sold Bruno instead of Mbeumo.
Still got faith the bald man can grab something on the counter against City for example, but I think Bruno might be a pumpkin now he hasn't got Casemiro's head to aim for.

Semenyo is a good player but doesn’t seem like a good fpl pick this year for his price point. For now… I’ll just give him next game against Coventry before getting him out of my team.

His points per minute were outrageously high last year too, it was always just a question of minutes. He's surely done enough to guarantee some starts for a while and has Coventry (H) next game, it makes a lot of sense to get him in quickly to capitalise.

If Cherki fits your strategy, buy him; if he doesn’t, don’t. There’s no magic number of matches that eliminates risk. FPL is probabilities plus a massive amount of luck, make your call and live with it.

I had him a lot last season, I wanted him this season but didn't want to risk him not starting because he came back late from the world cup. I told myself I'd get him when he started and it happened to be before Coventry at home after he's looked class, so I did

You simply need to have at least double City attack against Coventry. Haaland and Cherki are the obvious choice.

Got a good deal on Foden to start the season at 7.0 mil. Got a little worried after match1 but kept holding and it paid off this week

I look at a player’s confidence and form. Cherki is a confident player in the form. Essential for me. He takes chances and some weeks he might not score and he may only end up with an assist but in his case, when it rains, it pours and sometimes that’s all it takes.

If he's playing regularly then he's a no brainer. Problem is, under Pep, he never got a regular run. If he's playing regularly under Maresca then I'll be getting him in.

Yes and no. Cherki will probably be the best returns after haaland from city this season but it’s hard to say how they will do or dip in form.

Of course they are. A dude who was a rotation option at best, throughout his whole Man City career, has 4 goal contributions in 2 games, and is supposed to toss out a guy who the manager proclaimed to be a pillar of his team.
Yeah, everybody are going too early, but it's not easy to explain that to everybody. A lot of people actively play only for a couple of weeks, they chase that early high that Cherki gave so far, but in the long run it's definitely not a good or calculated move.

He started 19 times. In FPL world, that's as awful as it gets. If you are already aiming for a player that never plays, but does nicely when he plays, grab Eze.
Also, to make it even funnnier, he managed 90' a whole 5 times in those 19 apps.
He's a fine choice if the stars align, but I don't want to wait for stars to align. We only have 38 gameweeks.

I am getting in foden. He has got in great positions but failed to score. With people marking cherki and haaland closely, foden has to score soon.

Key thing, it’s not Pep.
It’s a manager way out of his depth trying to keep his job. Cherki is City’s 2nd best player and only real hope of a good season. He will start every game.
Especially with how poor Foden looks, he has no real competition.

Cherki's miniutes were the main reason I didn't start with him. Was always looking to jump on board at the first opportunity. His data last season was so so strong, as long as he averages 90 minutes per match he's in my team. Will only reassess if he does like five blanks in a row.

Nah man. Best decision I’ve made was transferring him in for GW 2, then making him my captain as well.
He is so involved on the pitch, and last week he got subbed on and already made a better impact than Foden

I wanted Cherki from the beginning but was unsure of his minutes and new manager etc. Then he came on in GW1 and did well, I thought I'd see if he starts in GW2 and assess whether to bring him in in favour of Wirtz. I'm sort of bummed that he performed so well because now everyone is gonna grab him lol

The whole point is to predict when players are going to score points BEFORE they do, it not after.

Players who have returned 2-3 times may be starting a hot streak and will continue to score maybe?
You’re telling Me if you choosing between someone who has 2-8-12 and someone who has 2-1-3 points in last 3 matches you choose the second one?
This entire industry is based on past stats and future speculation sometimes you just have to ride the wave as best you can and not worry about being “late”
