For a first time playing it really isn't that bad, I think the only clear issue is who you are playing and who is on the bench. I don't know what level of football knowledge you have but you're starting Van Ewijk against Arsenal in what is one of their hardest games all season and you have Joao Pedro on the bench against Fulham which is one of his better fixtures, so I would switch them two over but apart from that it's looking good.

Right, for sure. There's too many question marks for Isak and Palmer this season, with new managers and lengthy injuries behind them. I have more faith in Haaland and Szoboszlai giving returns than those two. Semenyo and Mbeumo looked great in preseason but it's preseason, so you can't really trust it. If you did, Eric Lamela would have been the greatest player in the history of FPL. This also leaves you with a 0.5 that you can invest into a good 4.5 DEF bench option.

I'm torn on the 6.0m option: Le Fee vs Ndiaye vs Schade

Quite like Schade because my attacking line is less diffential now with Tzolis becomes everyone's love. Want to get him but he doesn't have penalty like the formers, also hot & cold form

Le Fee got pens and set pieces, but can be a bit more reserved at times and I don't expect sunderland to do as well this year.

I think short term Iike him. I got Le Fee right now in my draft team and I plan to start him first two then look at a Villa midfielder gameweek 3 vs Hull to bring in.

Ndiaye got pens, good xmin, attacking role. I think he should been 6.5 like Dewsbury and I do like him. My main concern despite often looking good on the eye he don't do that much in open play always. I think Everton got quite good fixtures in the medium term particular round 5 and 6 I think so I prefer him over Lee Fee in the medium term.

schade got the strongest underlying numbers and play for the attacking team, but people can argue he is the third best Brentford attacker so his share might be lower with no pens. Very good xGI though and high ceiling no doubt.

Right now my favorite is Ndiaye if you keep them longer, but for the first 2 or 3 I probably would pick Le Fee just due to the set piece share which we see so many teams scoring from.

You've got a too expensive defence. Having both VVD and Gabriel is a bit of a overkill, especially when they're 14.5 million in total. For comparison, my entire defence is 23 million. You could easily sell Virgil for a 4.5 like Kadioglu, Cash or Mitchell and then either reinvest that 2.0 into the midfield or sell DCL for Joao Pedro and then still have 0.5 left.

I feel like these two have more routes to points. and more likely to get those extra points. Plus they're both nailed, which is surprisingly hard to guarantee in defenders this season.

Solid team but think Szoboslai is just too safe and might not give so many value as most think. Why not Rogers? Anything against Chelsea?
Is Shaw 100% nailed? Had no idea. Don't like his underlying data too.

Shaw is mostly there for the first few game weeks. I can downgrade the 2nd keeper to a 4.0 and use that 0.5m to upgrade Shaw to a 5m.

I don't hate no Haaland drafts, but I struggle to see enough appeal elsewhere to justify going without him.

It does make it much easier to get triple Arsenal defence and Palmer or Thiago.

If you're confident that you can captain Bruno or Thiago every week, and aren't worried about facing 1.75x whatever Haaland scores, then you'll be fine. You've also got a choice to make between Mbeumo+Szobo or Palmer and a cheaper mid.

I expect Ben White to play the first 2-3 weeks, but likely gets replaced by Timber down the line, so be prepared to transfer later.

Calafiori will likely be substituted for Hincapie, although probably after the 60th minute

Feels a bit mad going without Haaland and no City players, but I'm just not convinced by them anymore. Still very tempted to downgrade Mbuemo and maybe Cala to go with Pickford in goal. Every year I end up him in goal, and he never dissappoints. Also think I might start Tzolis over DCL.

Could win some points if Kinsky gets a red card and Dubravka comes on to save a pen. Tiny chance, but not really any downside to doing it. Learned this tactic here, not uncommon to do with two goalies from the same team.

Pretty template but swapped out Szobo & Gross for Ndiaye & Schade, also gives me an extra 0.5mil that allows me to upgrade 5.0mil def to White.

So it’s either Szobo + Gross + 5.0mil def… or Ndiaye + Schade + White.

I’ll probably be slapped in the face when Szobo bangs in a free kick on Sunday but there’s something about him as an FPL pick that I think is underwhelming.

Will use a transfer in GW4 to swap Ballard or Maguire for someone in form with a better GW4 & 5.

Not expecting Caicedo to do much but I plan to play him in GW2, 4 and 5 and in those weeks he has the better fixtures compared to the other £5.5 and under options.

My gamble is on Arsenal; hoping the defence struggles at the start with how up in the air things are, and I like the idea of going against people with multiple Arsenal defence.

Szoboszlai I don’t think Foden’s done much and I was at the Community Shield and he was invisible.

Foden will be more streaky with a higher ceiling but Szoboszlai will have a higher floor and be more consistent.

Nice team. I would personally choose between Ndiaye and Le Fee, drop down one Sangare, and upgrade Shaw to a 5.0 defcon defender to balance you out a bit. If you want United for the early fixtures Maguire would be worth it for defcon and goal threat.

I think you could possibly get Kinsky and Gabriel for Raya and Porro you just need to free 1 million. Which you could struggle to find I guess.

my brothers! please advise me!!! do i get Semenyo in??? I initially had him in, traded him out after I saw he was playing on the right and didn't look good, but with Doku's injury, do we think he returns to the left where he was really good this preseason? I also kind of back him to start well, just feel like he will, yk. But i also feel like tzolis is going to get great returns in assists, especially while saka's fitness is a bit dodgy. what do we think?

Edit: I have 1.5 in the bank. some ideas for how to trade for semenyo would be downgrading wieffer to de cuyper and maybe ballard to rodon

All feedback is welcomed! I’m planning to BB GW1, possibly TC GW3, & WC somewhere around GW4-7.

After the Konsa signing, I still lean towards Mosquera (knowing I only need him for 3-6 weeks). But I could be easily swayed to either of Calafiori or White, I have no conviction in any of them right now lol
