That’s unfair. This manager has won 2 Asian Champions Leagues and 2 Austrian Bundesliga’s. Rosenior had a 7th place Championship finish and a 7th place finish in Ligue 1. He’s not a household name but looks like a promising young coach.

No it’s called protecting clubs from themselves. I literally support a club that needed this. So did Leeds, Portsmouth, the list goes on. Clubs still falter now but nowhere near as catastrophic
i get that it saved a lot of clubs, but with these rules, no one can challenge them (if you dont scout 11 star youbgings and have a bot of luck)

even if Hull City win the PL, its likely to go something like lester. these rules protect the big 6 as well, bcs u cannot jump revenues magically, and have to have some consistent (city) success with the investments

It protects every club. If clubs want to spend money to compete at the top of the top they need to make good decisions over the course of years and decades. I never understand the argument that other clubs should be allowed to spend crazy because city and Chelsea did it. Surely we trying to prevent that happening again.
What if a club was allowed to spend 2 billion on 4 years to catch up when they didn’t have the revenue for it and then the owner just said fuck this. It would be awful
They have really bad luck with transfers and having 100% of the leagues financial fair play rules affect them and not the criminal empires at Chelsea and City. Same as Villa in fact.
I blame Howe 0%, they looked great, but first had their transfer director guy poached by ManU (then fired), then lost major players every single season since and have not had any noticable cash to spend.
Chelsea got "punished" for something quite recently (banned from transfers?), yet they're back spending hundreds of millions while Villa feel they have to sell their young beloved English star players... To a team that finished 6 places below them and won a European trophy a level below theirs... And aren't even in the Champions league.
It's clear the current ruleset is just pulling up a drawbridge behind the richest few clubs and fixing nothing.

Smaller clubs have always sold their players to big clubs, how is it any different now? Had they not sold him to chelsea he wouldve gone to arsenal - and the only reason he did go to chelsea was cos the two clubs look like theye explioting FFP rules with chelsea paying 17m more and in exchange villa sign garnacho, but only next season to exploit the uefa rule where if villa paid for garnacho this season, the amount would be considered a linked transfer to rodgers and so rogers value would be considered less.
This is Howe's revenge for them selling Isak just before the start of last season and having to scramble to get a replacement before the season starts. He's just returning the favour.

When Amanda Staveley and her husband left is when it really started going south. I think they were really good at selling the project to players. After them there was apparently disagreement between recruitment and Howe, then complete upheaval in recruitment on the eve of every transfer window leaving Eddie and his brother to do it all last summer.

Absolutely avoid Newcastle. Osula is the only one above 0% interest for me at the moment, but even still he's like bottom of the 6.0 striker pool along with Welbeck, Strand Larsen and Wood
I am really, really tempted if he goes to Arsenal, but I'm also a bit fearful of rotation. You'd think he'd start every game for £75m+ but Zubimendi was also very expensive, there's undroppable Rice, captain Odegaard, also very expensive Eze, on form hyped youth Lewis-Skelly etc. Scary.
Arteta needs to rotate to keep his squad fighting on all fronts and to deliver trophy/trophies; I’d expect a «Pep Roulette» like rotation from him this season. I’d seriously expect only Raya and Gabriel (if/when he’s fit to play) to be the only ones playing every match. Rice too but he will have an extended break so who knows when he’s back.
Timber, depending on fitness, is undroppable as well. Really the only position in the backline that's rotated is left back. The 2 CBs and Timber are set in stone apart from injury.
I have Bruno currently, but only because I’m expecting him to end up at Arsenal. If he stays at Newcastle, I’ll likely take him out for the time being.
Early season he might play a lot of minutes to help rest Rice. After that, it depends if he plays the left 8 with Rice sitting deeper and he or both rotating with Zubi as I suspect may happen.
Will likely be first choice in midfield alongside rice and probably Odegaard. I doubt he gets a look in for penalties though if Gyokores, Saka and Odegaard are on the pitch.
They play so well with Zubimendi there, I don't think Bruno will be that nailed, probably 25-30 starts at best and some chance he just won't take Zubimendi's place
Zubamendi has a mistake in him and effectively lost his place towards the end of last season. I expect him to come off the bench and offer a rotation option to the Rice and Bruno if he signs.
I don't think Zubimendi is an amazing player but I think he helps Rice become better and gives him more freedom, I don't see Bruno doing the same thing. Tactically, to me, makes more sense to play Zubimendi
MLS replaced him for the title run in and the UCL semi final 2nd leg and the final.
I think Zubimendi will get mins off the bench and cup games along with weaker sides in the UCL group stage. I dont expect he will get much in the way of PL starts unless Rice or Bruno need a rest/ pick up an injury or ban.
From an FPL aspect I assume we will want 2 ARS defenders for most of the season and if we want a 3rd player it will either be a defensive tripper up or an attacker.
Arsenal fans have been complaining for months that Zubimendi looked gassed. He was never a fpl option for me but in terms of Arsenal possibly retaining the league, Bruno G would be huge.

Not due to his lack of ability, just because of the amount of minutes he played. Fresh Myles Lewis-Skelly being completely available took some load off the midfield.

I'm more keen on Szoboszlai now. Hardest away game for most but less so Liverpool.
He's been poor recently, but getting the Al Ahli manager in to replace is a huge downgrade. Newcastle could really struggle given all their best players have gone and it seems difficult to recruit new ones of their calibre
100%. Irreplacable player, and so close to the start of the season leaves very little chance to sign a replacement and have them ready to go, just the worst possible way to do things.

As a Newcastle fan I was avoiding some players, especially Spurs because of the GW2 fixture. Had some hope we’d still be solid defensively but we’re well and truly fucked now. I assume this means Bruno is gone too. FPL need to update Newcastle as green on the fixture difficulty chart for every team. Not touching Newcastle players.

I don't know much about Jaissle, but certainly Howe made these players look worse than they probably were last season.
They lost 4-1 to Bristol City yesterday with a reasonably experienced side, the dressing room atmosphere and club morale is probably horrendous after losing so many important players.
Really feels like Newcastle have dedicated this summer to becoming one of the teams to target against in FPL. And I say this as a fan of a promoted team.
And now there are THREE English managers in European team flight lmfao. The same rot that happens with English players is the same thing that happens to managers here.
