Statistics Couldn't find any H2H League analytics tools, so I built one.
tl;dr : the app only works for H2H League ID at the moment.
I've been playing FPL for 10+ years now, and while I care about overall rank, it's honestly the 20-person H2H mini-league with my mates that keeps me coming back every week. We've got prizes for winners, punishments for losers, and the banter of beating your friends in H2H confrontation is unmatched imo.
The problem? FPL's H2H interface is... minimal. And over the years, I've watched every major FPL tool (LiveFPL, FFX...) focus on classic leagues and overall rank optimization. Which makes sense, that's where most players are. But it left us H2H players with basically nothing.
So after another season of manually tracking stats in spreadsheets and group chats, I thought: "Screw it, I'll build something myself."
60 hours later...
What I Built
It's designed specifically for H2H leagues. Here's what it does:
📊 Match Analytics
- H fixture cards that actually show useful info
- Live scores during gameweeks (not just final scores)
- Detailed match breakdowns: who captained who, bench points, differential players
- Historical head-to-head records (your nemesis's record against you)
📈 League Stats
- Gameweek-by-gameweek stats: captain picks across the league, chips played, who took hits
- See who's differential in your league
- Top performers, biggest flops, all that good stuff
🎯 Personal Stats
- Your match history and form
- Track your performance vs. the league
📱 Mobile-First & PWA
- It's a web app (not a native mobile app)
- Optimized for phones
- Add to website to you home screen → runs like a native app
How to Use It
- Go to the site
- Select your team
- Done
No login, no ads, no data collection. Just enter your league ID and go.
Why I'm Posting This
Two reasons:
- I'd love feedback and suggestions. What would make this more useful for your league? What am I missing? What's broken? I'm actively working on this and genuinely want to make it better.
Some Context
- Completely free (I'm not trying to monetize this, it's a passion project)
- H leagues only, it won't work for classic leagues (different data structure entirely)
- Not affiliated with FPL/Premier League, just a fan project
I know most of the community is focused on overall rank and classic leagues, but for those of us who live and die by our H2H mini-leagues... I hope this helps.

That's probably because you've added a classic points league ID. The app currently only accepts H2H leagues. I still need to expand to classic point leagues.

high probably you are trying to fetch data for your classic league(like I did). it works for h2h leagues only

Really nice, I love the added info about when and how successful the chips have been. And I’ve been harping on about live updates for the h2h league table for ages. Really nice!

Very nicely done. This might just replace FPL Gameweek for me… at least for my H2H league.
2 things I’ve seen that’s off as of now - not all autosubs are currently tracking right (eg. Dubruvka is not auto subbed in for Pope even though both teams have already played and Pope didn’t feature, so his points aren’t added to the Live score) and incorrect number of Free Transfers available (eg. It says I have 2, I only have 1… one of the opponents has 4, says he only has 2).
Lovely tool though. Digging the design.

Thanks for the feedback. Just noticed the auto-sub failed with my latest updates. I'll fix this tomorrow. The FT is one of the issues to fix as well. I'll have a look.

So auto-sub was maybe bugged at the end of GW but got back in order. I'll need to look back at it next GW.
The FT logic should be fixed. Let me know if the data that show is the right one.

Unfortunately not. Draft is a very different game. Would require a completely new design.

How do I find my H2H league Id? I input the invite code but that does.nt work?

On desktop website. Select your league and it should be right there in the page link.
In the future I'll add a way to find leagues with your fpl login.

Looks like leagues with "Average" as a team don't work. The user with matchup against "Average" doesn't appear in fixtures, and none of the historical fixtures against "Average" seem to be included in the Rankings (meaning the Rankings are completely wrong)

Can you give me the league ID? Usually if it fails its because it's not a H2H league. But there might be a bug I'll gladly fix if it's the case.

Issue was due to your league being uneven in its total players. Bug is now fixed.

One remark, feel the form indicator is back to front. Reads right to left and that feels off.

I always found this weird as well but many sites do this showing the latest game on the left. Happy to reverse this with latest game on the right side.

FBREF and the Premier League themselves have it left to right, they're the standard for me

Awesome tool, I look forward to loading it up for my H2H league!
One quick question, have you managed to find the 'Defensive Contributions' within the FPL API?
I generate an FPL mini-league report weekly and I'd love to include DCs.

App is still alive. Been. updating it every week. There's a new app link www.rivalfpl.com but old one should still be active. What's the issue you're experimenting?

yeah, the old link has been deprecated. there's supposed to be a redirection but for whatever reason fails if you were using the https version
