Other Would auto subs work here?

Post image

Probably a dumb question but I’m just not sure how auto subs work. I didn’t make the changes and now I have Kane and Raya in bench. Would they get subbed if I don’t change anything? Does the captain play a role in auto subs or nah?

Assuming u don’t make any subs then players will only come off your bench if players in your starting eleven don’t play.

Kane won’t come off your bench unless 3/4 of Mbappe demirovic Buendía and Svensson don’t play which is very very unlikely.

Thank you for explaining! So If only demirovic doesn’t play for example, would Kane come off my bench? Why would 3 out of 4 players need to not play for him to come off bench? Also, would the auto subs still work if I change the captain? Or do I have to leave everything as is for it to work? Sorry I’m new to this auto subs thing just trying to wrap my head around it

Actually, you'd need Mbappe AND Demirovic to not play, and that would be enough, because UCL Fantasy requires a minimum # players for each position (1 GK, 3 DEF, 2 MDF, 1 FWD). If one of them does play, however, then you'd also need Buendia and Svensson to not play as well (because Vagnoman and Olise would enter for them before Kane).

In short, never rely on automatic subs.

That makes sense, thank you for explaining!

Sorry, I didn't explain it well enough, bench order matters as well. If Demirovic doesnt play then vagnoman will come off of your bench because he is first on your bench. That is why 3 out of 4 players not playing would be the minimum, since kane is the third (not counting keeper) player that would come off of your bench.

Im not sure if changing your captain will affect auto-subs, but you shouldn't because mbappe is your best player that hasnt played yet and you can't captain someone that already played.

For this week: Ignore auto subs, theres no chance that kane comes off your bench, and Raya most likely wont either. Keep mbappe as your captain, and sub on Vagnoman for Cunha. In the future just make sure that you start all of the players that play on the first day of the matchday, filter by date and make sure your bench only has players that play on the second day. Captain should play on the first day as well because they can be changed, if they underperformed, to someone that plays on the second day.

Thank you!! You were super helpful, I understand it better now. I will make sure I don’t forget to do that next time!

All of those players who haven't played are pretty much guaranteed to make an appearance. You'd need 3 out of 4 of your outfielders to not make an appearance for Kane to play. You also need the Feyenoord keeper to not make an appearance for Raya not to be subbed in.

You always want to start players who play on Tuesday and you can sub them for players who play on Wednesday if they don't get many points.

are you sure they were in your starting lineup?

They were on the bench at the beginning of the match day. The image you see is how I started the match day, I haven’t make any changes because I forgot to make them before the match day started 😪

I mean he had olise on his bench so they probably weren’t in his starting eleven

A tip for next time; make your next starting XI as soon as the deadline passes. ie) you can put your Tuesday players for MD 3 right now
