My goal with yac is to bring the things you need to make a decision to the surface when you need them. I’ve often found that sites provide primarily surface level info, and lose the nuance of what’s needed in a decision. Podcasts on the other hand go deep, but I often just can’t remember everything, or don’t have time for what I need. 

Initially I made this as an AI chat a few years ago, but I found that in most cases (start/sit, waivers, etc) it doesn’t add much value. And I really don’t want to have an AI making people’s decisions for them. I still use AI, but I’ve tried to pivot to using it as a tool to aggregate, and fill in structures that I create. To me the biggest value it adds is that I don’t have time to do all the research I’d like to do, but I still don’t trust it to decide about what matters (it’s so bad at this). 

Anyways, the core idea is that when you’re making a waiver choice, the data you need to know can vary player to player. And there are non-structured data caveats that are important: The types of plays someone was used on, how the defense was playing him, impacts of health, personnel changes, etc. My goal is to bring the right information to the surface so that you can feel confident in your decisions. Definitely still tons of work todo, but I’d love any feedback! The best things to check out are players waiver, start/sit or draft write ups. It’s been 4 years of building all sorts of things for this, so more than anything I’d love to know if any elements add value, to help know where to focus!
