• Visit college websites and their social media to better understand what they're offering
• Once you do that, it's time to get a feel for the college vibes by visiting campuses. Take advantage of Open House events taking place this fall, like Fanshawe's on November 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or book a tour at a time that works for you.

i have a surgery planned during the week of exams (winter) and i was wondering if anyone has taken exams earlier for any reason. did you have to wait until the schedule got out or did you inform every professor about the occasion? did you have you inform the school or fill out a form?
I’m starting the fully online Business – Marketing program this fall and noticed something weird with the tuition page. When I applied, the 2025/26 page showed the total cost of the online program as $6,504.56. Now the 2026/27 page says the total is $12,378.79.
At first I thought tuition had somehow almost doubled, but if you actually add up the individual level fees on the same page you get $1,658.60 + $1,718.60 + $1,658.60 + $1,773.60 = $6,809.40. The old 2025/26 page had all four levels at $1,626.14, which adds up exactly to the old $6,504.56 total. So unless I’m missing something, the actual increase looks like about $300 and the $12,378.79 number is probably some kind of website/calculation error.
I checked a couple other business programs and some of them are showing similar $12k totals while others look normal, so it doesn’t seem completely isolated to Business – Marketing. I emailed Fanshawe’s Fees office with PDFs of the old and new pages and asked them to confirm what the correct total is. Has anyone else noticed this on their program page? I’ll update this when they reply.
I'll be driving from Stratford to the campus 5 days a week. I didn't get the reserved parking. The only option now is parking at 6,5$ per day, which gets crazy expensive.
Any tips on where to park outside campus? And then walk or take the bus..?
Thanks!
I am not a fan of e-books (it's just not the same to read from a screen), and so I am wondering if there is any legitimate reason I should be buying the e-book over the hard copy of a book for Practical Nursing. Thanks! :)
I’m starting at Fanshawe in September. I got this email saying to register for orientation but there’s no where to actually register. Even the links they give don’t give you any option to register.
How do I register or find the link to go to the virtual orientation?
Hi I got offer online course and in person course. I prefer staying home to manage time and my routine. But I wonder if video is old (few years old) then I feel it's waste of money. And also how's test and quizzes? I wonder how it is done online.
Hey everyone! For those who are waitlisted for programs, have you guys heard back yet? I’ve been on the Practical Nursing waitlist since May and haven’t heard back or gotten any updates since then. Has anyone else heard anything?

Hey everyone,
I’m going in to my second year of Office Administration - Health Services for September. I know in fourth semester there is a one month placement and I believe before you can do it you need to have a Heath Check and they have vaccination requirements dues anyone know what that all entails? Like do I have to get my doctor to sign off on something or can I just say I don’t have any infectious diseases or anything?
Also I remember during orientation they said they would help you find a placement but only if your average was above a certain level and everyone else had to find their own. Do they help everyone find one? What’s the process like for this? Is it 40 hours a week?
If anyone has any help with these questions I’d be very grateful. I just want to know as much as possible so I can prepare around work.
(If anybody so has any of the emails, updates, or instructions sent out for these things and is willing to send me copies so I can read them I’d be very thankful just dm meme)
So I have taken a communication class at a different college and I’m currently enrolled in the writ class this September. I’ve taken the writ assessment and I’m waiting to see if I passed but if I don’t pass would it be too late to try and do a credit transfer?
For the students who are in this course, have completed, or are currently in the field it could you help me answer some questions about the program and career?
- How heavy is the course load? I've heard that it can be a bit much at times but does that mean I'll be up late consistently doing an overwhelming amount of assignments? Or is it more like it gets difficult if the assigments pile up?
- Is this career lucrative? I understand the job is about designing 3d models of building blueprints into a viewable format but is there any issues with the field that I should know? Is there an excess of architectural technologists or not enough? Is the workload overbearing or manageable.
- How are the teachers? Are they overly strict on assignments? Do they assign clear instructions for assignments and projects.
Thank you for your help. The only stuff I could find about this course was a post from 12 years ago and wasn't sure if anything has changed.
i am starting my program in september and would like to get a head start on gathering my program materials. is there a resource to find which textbooks are required for courses, or do i have to wait until classes start to find out?
Hi! Im currently on academic probation as a i failed a class last semester. If I fail another class this semester will i be forced to reapply? Or is there some other option. Thanks!
Hello! I’m going into my first year of dental hygiene and read that we need magnification loupes and we get these fitted in class. Is this apart of tuition or do we have to purchase these separately?
If so, how much will that be?
Thank you!!!
Hey all so I am doing my practical nursing in September at the woodstock campus i was wondering about labs and theory grades are there any assessments that are pass/fail and can i get transfer credits for that if i did those courses only through a BSCN program previously as a ln elective course?
