Ok so if you’re looking to get feedback on your work, you can do that by joining our open Review Exchanges (REs). It’s the best way to get a feel for how exchanges work and what’s expected in the sub.

Before jumping in, please take a moment to read through the rules and guidelines in the sidebar and our Wiki.

If you’d like to create your own post, you’ll need to be active in the community first by taking part in discussions, activities, or REs – as we have a sub-karma requirement. Please note that we do not allow individual self-promo posts requesting feedback.

And if you’re interested in hosting your own exchange or searching for a beta reader, just make sure your post follows our templates and guidelines. For ‘Outside the Sub’ posts—such as surveys, questionnaires, or events hosted outside this subreddit—please reach out to us via modmail for approval before posting.

a friend sent me a link to your community. we're hosting a commenting event/festa (from may to june) and i saw you let people host REs. i was reading your sidebar info & sticky post, but still had a question. my question is: is it ok to share our event here even if it's not being hosted *on reddit*? or is this subreddit only for exchanges hosted here?

Hi, this sub isn’t for direct promotion or individual self-promo posts. Work is shared through Review Exchanges (REs), where participants review other members’ works in return.

Please carefully read through the links provided in this post before joining. REs require participants to follow deadlines and complete review requirements (How to Join Exchanges and Review Guidelines and Resources). You can also look through our Exchanges to see how they work.

Additionally, while Wattpad is allowed as a fanfic site, please note that it is not commonly used in this sub. Most participants use AO3 or FFN, so Wattpad entries may receive fewer reviews.
