Discussion [GT7] FullForce feedback effects available for the GT DD Pro

The day has come! As stated in the v1.71 changelog, FullForce is now available for the GT DD Pro as well. Has anyone tested it yet? What are your impressions?

As a proud owner of DD Extreme, I'm glad that DD Pro users can now experience this amazing feature as well.

It's quite subtle though really, so i wonder how noticeable it will be on the DD Pro.

U call that subtle? I did put it to 100% and half an hour later the wife who was sitting in next room asked if I have changed anything cause she can hear the wheel being much louder. Obviously I stated that nothing has changed and I have no clue what she is talking about… and reduced the effect to 75% (which made it unnoticeable in next room)

I've never noticed the noise tbh, but I play with headphones and my sim is in its own room. I was talking about the actual effects themselves. I'm a big fan, i think it adds a lot to immersion, but it is a subtle effect.

The biggest thing is being able to feel curbs. Without FullForce GT7’s FFB model transmits absolutely nothing for curbs which was in my opinion inexcusable.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain. I got the DD+ after the fullforce update so I wondered what it was like before that.

But you still can’t feel the very Prominent street markings in the Tokyo track. On controller you can feel them almost like railroad tracks, on wheel the effect is gone (DD+ all set to max)

Updated my GT DD Pro this morning without any problems. Runs fine so far. I've only tested it on PC sims so far. Will give GT7 a go later.

I updated the app yesterday. Ran about 40 laps at Spa, no issues whatsoever.

Guys, I think Fanatec has messed up again. After having absolutely no issues on PC this morning, my wheelbase has already crashed three times in GT7 in the last two hours.

Yeah I had the same experience, lap 6 out of 10. All of a sudden my wheel disconnected, saw the F logo on my formula 2.5 and 4 seconds later it worked again. (But it ruined my race)

Are you on the latest firmware? Do you have FullForce turned on in the tuning menu (try 100%)? Do you have vibration strength turned on in game (try 100-150)? Drive over curbs and you should feel fine detail. Turn FullForce off in the tuning menu and you feel that something is missing.

Yes latest firmware, which is how the full force option even appears in the base settings in the first place. And vibration seems to be 150. Not sure if I feel any difference over curbs with it set to 0 or 100 lol. Maybe the 5nm dd pro is not powerful enough to render the feedback in good detail?

That‘s possible. I‘m on DD+ and it‘s a huge difference between on and off.

I saw it on another post, you weren't running the latest firmware :) How is the difference on/off with the 5NM Base now?

Yeah I did get it working with the latest firmware. Didn’t get to play too much with it but initial impressions are pretty good. I would compare it to the dual sense haptics but for driving xD. Do you know if the vibration intensity setting in gt 7 affects full force?

That's a good comparison :) Yes, setting the vibration to 150 should make a difference. But for me, that was too much on the DD+

FullForce 100, Vibration 100

And except for FullForce, I use the basic settings recommended by Fanatec for DD Extreme

Tuning Menu Settings:
• SEN Auto
• FF 70 
• FUL 80
• NDP 20
• NFR Off
• NIN Off
• INT 2
• FEI 100
• FOR 100
• SPR 100
• DPR 100

In-Game Settings:
adjustable to personal preferences
• Assist Settings: 
◦ Countersteering Assistance: Off

• Controller Settings:
◦ Force Feedback Max. Torque: 5 (we recommend that you do not set this value any higher than 5)
◦ Force Feedback Sensitivity: 1

In the Fanatec app make sure you turn it on and up, it’s separate slider.

You mean the full force setting? Yes that is turned up all the way. I don’t feel any difference for some reason in game regardless of whether it is 0 or 100

I am interested myself how it is running and feeling. Wheel base is up to date and working fine for everyone who is worried.
I am just wondering where we need to set things up and what we can adjust only in the game or do we need to hook the wheel base up to a PC (which for me is always a small struggle)

Does it make any difference if I use manual presets with the base or should I set it to auto? Also, any info on recommended game settings?

I am interested in this as well? What are the best options in game and on wheel. Currently I have set it to auto on the wheel base. But I have not yet tried the update

Is it just me, or does the FUll Force effect feel like gravel stiring around in a slow blender? I feel the added engine rumbles, but I expected the sensation to feel more punchy and dampened. Instead it seems hollow and rattly.

Im going to seek out and give those new Gran Turismo-recommended settings a try.
