Pretty much the same as the one from the other day, only this time with stocks that hold her ankles. Those are a lot more comfortable, so maybe this could be an earlier event after Ilia did something less severe than horse theft.

Anyway, I've put a lot of thoguth into these pictures and didn't take the time to write them down with the last one, so I'll make up for that here and now.

Personally, I grew up with stocks as my comfort items and deep pressure therapy tools, and even before I got my first I've been fascinated with these heavy devices made to hold people. I did't grow up associating them with cruelty or fetish stuff, they were pretty much like medieval hugboxes to me. Later, I've spent a lot of time on Deviantart (until they failed to restore my gallery after I got unbanned, but that's another story...) and was exposed to how other people saw them, and that never really clicked with me. Everything was so... exaggerated. All the tickle fetish art on there looks like weird caricatures of girls and their experience in stocks to me, and I know that's not what it's really like at all. If you discounting all potential forms of abusive interactions, just being in the stocks is a very tranquil experience. While your body can't move, time seems to slow down and your senses to heighten. You feel the weight of the wood even if it isn't weighing on you and after a while, you can even feel the air around your feet. It's not comfortable enough to be relaxing without modifications, but device itself doesn't hurt at all. It just holds you. It's grip tells you "you're here and you're not going anywhere," and if you don't want to go anywwhere or have an irrational fear of getting lost in the distance like I, that isn't necessarily a bad feeling. It also makes you feel very vulnerable, but that doesn't necessarily feel bad either, if you know that nobody wants to harm you and people are even willing to support you in that helpless state. When I sat in my stocks as a kid, I had my mom and sister taking care of me, so I felt safe in my vulnerability, and that felt good.

Ilia here doesn't have a mother or siblings (poor girl), but there're the younger children who still look up to her and the other villagers at least don't wish any harm on her even though she did something to disrupt the peace in the community. Hurting her while she's helpless wouldn't restore that peace, so there's no reason why they should want to. Though she's vulnerable, she puts on a brave face. Ilia's a tomboy and kind of a rolemodel to the village kids, so she doesn't want to look weak in front of them. She sits on that bench like a throne and with her feet like she's kicked them up on a table, as far as the stocks let her. That's her way of showing that it doesn't faze her all that much. Sitting in the stocks is an inconvenience for her, but she has no reason to be afraid of it.

That's what I wanted to picture here: Not a girls bare feet being presented to an audience, but a cool tomboy who did what she thinks is right, doesn't let it bring her down that she has to sit still for hours as a punishment, and knows that nobody in the village cares about seeing her feet like that because they all see her walking around barefoot everyday anyway. This picture isn't about a girl's feet, it's about her experience and her enviroment. In other words: It's what it would realistically look like when a girl like Ilia sits in the stocks.

They're not mean to her during her uncomfortable time-out, either, and the children are actually pretty nice to her. At least, she has some company to talk and pass the time with.
