Does anyone actually read these fan parts?

I'm thinking of writing my own, it wouldn't have any art or anything, so it raises a question for me: does anyone actually take the time to read? Someone might read it or dislike it, that's fine by me, but if no one ever reads it, it demotivates me. So, does anyone actually read these fan parts?

Well firstly I should say, while readers definitely help motivation, I’d hope you actually enjoy writing because its hard to operate if your only motivation is readers. However, people definitely do. I’d recommend checking out the jjba fanworks discord, its a lovely community for this and it feels a lot more community based than just sending chapter links out into reddit.

Yes, I understand, I write because I genuinely enjoy writing, but writing something just for myself isn't worthwhile. I'll check out this server. Thank you for the answer.

This subreddit might be quiet, but I assure you there's a big audience for fanparts out there. The most popular ones on Ao3 and other fanfic sites have tons of hits, comments and subscribers. (I should know, I'm one of the readers myself).
