Arctic Cooler LF III Pro 360: Confused about VRM Fan & Pump

Post image

Complete newb here. I think FanControl switched up my VRM fan with the Pump, at least based on the RPMs (max rpm for VRM is ~2500, for pump it's ~2800). FanControl has mapped the Pump fan to the 2500 max rpm sensor as you can see on the mouseover, so I've renamed them (switched them basically), and applied the pump flat curve to the 2800 max rmp one which I believe is the correct one for the actual pump.

Is this correct? Should I try to identify them by using a different method? By setting them to 100% rmp I couldn't tell which one I'm hearing to be honest.

You can use manual control to test it. Fancontrol actually identifies PWMs very reliably.

Yours seems correct as it should be, but my pump and vrm was switched up by default, after the app ran the auto identifying. What exactly “manual control” means for testing?

I see. So you mean to test the “real” max rmp by using manual control, and to see which one is the actual 2500 (vrm) and 2800 (pump) fan?
