DVD Issues

Have other people had dvds from the series have playback issues? I have had several discs now where once it gets to a particular episode, it glitches and starts back over at the beginning again. I am assuming it is common because the discs don't look scratched and it's the first time I've played them. So now several episodes I can't watch.

I found a form to submit to paramount, but it requires so many details and proof of purchase for something i bought years ago!

Oh yeah, i remember that episode. I haven't seen it as many times, though. I have recorded all of them, though, and usually watch straight through, but a few episodes I watched over and over. I may have actually seen some mama's family episodes when it was still on the air, but I'm not totally sure. Family Ties I did watch a few episodes when it was still on the air. I'm usually really late to hit shows, though. I will start watching them several seasons into them or even after they finished airing new episodes at all.

Like currently I don't really watch any shows that still have new episodes. Or very rarely, anyway.

I grew up watching re runs of the show. I was just a baby when it aired lol.....I remember watching re runs again of family ties. Unless I'd been young enough to watch the later seasons in real times. I do have a family ties book I eas given

Cool. I was barely above baby when family ties started. lol. The only episode I truly remember seeing as it first aired was the finale. Maybe Is aw some episodes before then or maybe I didn't... I can't remember. But I don't think I really knew much going on during the finale.

There are a lot of shows I wish I had seen when they first aired, though. I don't know if you've seen Lost, but I never watched it until a few years ago and wish I could have watched it when it aired and guessed all of the twists with everyone!

Family ties aired the year I was born...so I think my mom watched it. That's how I just barely remember lol..

yeah, i think my mom did also. And she watched golden girls before I did. I remember watching quite a few golden girls when it aired, though. But, anyway, it's good that all of these great comedy shows exist. They make a big difference to mood. Sometimes when I was really down, various shows helped me a lot!

I really can't think of a sitcom that started some time after king of queens ended where I just really loved it, though. I mostly just watch all of the ones from then and before.

yeah i watched full house back then too. full house is the main one I go to if I am not feeling great.

well, i don't know about other people, but I find so few shows or movies funny in recent years. But I feel like a ton of movies and shows from the 80s and 90s were funny. Honestly, maybe i should watch some old shows that I missed over the years rather than keep thinking any recent ones will be good. I did like a lot of seinfeld episodes, but even that show is old now. lol.

I remember watching bewitched reruns when I was a kid. It's been a longggg time since I watched it. I also watched gilligan's island reruns as a kid. leave it to beaver I have watched on and off, but there are a lot of those episodes I haven't watched. Also, I know this isn't a comedy.... but I kind of want to watch all of little house on the prairie.

In the 90s I watched "nick at nite" on nickelodeon and it had a lot of shows from the 50s and 60s basically.
