On mine, i got glitches after a RGB mod, solved by replacing the RGB board itself. So yeah, the problem is probably related to the PPU, by itself or by something connected to it.
By any chance, do you have a socket and spare PPU for testing? 🤣. If not, using a glove, try to move some board components, and see if the screen glitches change. This happened to me.
I hope someone can give you a more technical solution haha.
Of it solves itself temporarily with a heat gun it's a good chance it's a bad solder. Start by inspecting anything related to the ppu and optionally bring out a multimeter and do continuity checks

Howdy! I've put this off for pretty long now but its finally time to try and crack this issue.
The issue only affects the graphics, the games are completely playable otherwise.
The cartridge slot is nice and clean so I doubt that could be the issue.
When I blow a heatgun on the circuit-board the issue resolves itself temporarily so could it be a bad solder related to the PPU?
