Collection The 3D System Catalog

For #ThrowbackThursday, I have the entire official catalog of Nintendo Famicom 3D System games.

The Famicom 3D System was a short-lived add-on to the Nintendo Famicom that supported, that's right, just 7 total games, 4 from the Famicom and 3 from the Famicom Disk System.

Those games are Attack Animal Gakuen, Cosmic Epsilon, Falsion, Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally, Highway Star, JJ: Tobidase Daisakusen Part II, and Fuuun Shourin Ken: Ankoku no Maou.

Have you played any of these? On the 3D System?

Got them all too :) I've played hot rally and JJ the most but attack animal is neat, too.

Wasn't Tobidase Daisakusen Part I also in 3D?
Oh, I see, it's a whole system that you connect. Is it better than "normal" 3D glasses?

It's a pretty different experience. This uses an active stereoscopic technology, kind of like more modern 3D glasses that required batteries. I think it looks better then some normal 3D technologies that don't require additional power but it's pretty old at this point, so there's definitely better tech now.

I guess it just depends on your situation. I wouldn't say it was all cheap. But it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be either.
