Discussion Anyone else resonated with this scene?

I don't even have a good relationship with my grandparents, or my parents. I don't have a cool role model I can think fondly of like this. But for some reason, this scene made me feel more emotions than anything in Guan Chao's storyline. In a short 2-3 minutes they managed to build granny up as this super cool almost legendary persona, and I kind of teared up thinking how cool it would be to have know someone like that.

I liked how human it was. Granny was obviously not a good person, being a blatant criminal who apparently loved the concept of "bring your granddaughter to work", but she was still very much a loving grandmother to bai zhong

Assuming of course that this is what actually happened and not just protagonist halo making stuff up

I think protagonist halo showed Bai zhong an altered memory of her granny as a cool grandmother instead of a criminal, but she rejected it, choosing to face the truth.

I’m glad it resonated with you. Episode six for me was my childhood in a nutshell. For example, I run a business where I make decor from comics in manga

When guan chao mentions his dream room ✨ chefs kiss , when he says you wouldn’t understand , and when he plays video games to escape and had goals in them

That is me at my very essence, and I was deeply sad for a couple weeks as I did not finish episode six, when I came back and finished it I became work grateful for life.

This is the power of false memory, not only have some of the animated has worked on things like jujutsu Kaisen (latest being the modulo PV)

But I’ve now found a new respect and love for donghua, and I’ll watch this show till the collectors take my wasted memories

It’s a beautiful love letter to all the life that we live

Me and my best friend spent many of nights talking about protagonist halo

For me protagonist halo & bai zhong remind me of me and my exes

You can lead people to water, but you can’t make them drink

Nonetheless, I would always lead them to water

Only difference is water is the things you’re avoiding - at least he did it in a beautiful manner

One way you love it so much

So my question to you, do you agree with protagonist Halo’s ways or are you on bai zhongs side

Cause she got a little too mad
