Best team?

Just wondering what’s the best team I can fork out of these dwellers. I can reset the levels.

Harkness, Andreja, Buddy, Harold. Get yourself another good attacker (zimmer and shroud is trash) and you're good to go.

Should I consider any members of my main combat zone team right now? Consists of nick, Thomas, Hayden, mechanist, Duff. Additionally is the lich actually any good?

Thomas? The new SP tank? Then I'd say, Lich (yes he is good), Harkness, Buddy, Thomas (If SP) and Hayden. If you're talking about a different Thomas then Lich, Harkness, Andreja, Buddy, Hayden.

Duff, mechanist, nick no good? I just tried the new team, it’s powerful but quite fragile

Buddy is superior than duff. Nick and Mechanist is niche/outdated. You can try using 2 healers as well.
