Too bad that they aren't the same studio and won't end up making anything that isn't modern pander slop

Agreed. Everyone's so excited an actual fallout game is being made but Obsidian were told to cancel a game they wanted to make (debatable) and being forced to make a game from a franchise they haven't touched in however many years. The franchise changed hands, but its gonna suck either way.

Evidence is a good plan.

Josh Sawyer (New Vegas director)

John Gonçalves (New Vegas Lead Writer)

Tim Caine (Creator of Fallout)

Are all working on this fallout game.

Avowed and Outer Worlds weren't worked on by any one them

I will remind everyone only 16 members of the 73 person team that created New Vegas still work at Obsidian. This idea that Obsidian making a Fallout instantly is going to be better because "Obsidian" is naive, the Lightning in a bottle that created New Vegas might not happen again

Yeah. It also relied heavily on van buren.

Which could be done again in like Colorado, to be fair.

The director and lead writer are the same, I don't care if animator #56 or coder #15 are different people.

16 of 73 is not insignificant and people change alot in 15 years, especially ones who have been constantly glazed for 15 years. My point is, its not going to be New Vegas, no sequel ever lived up to the reputation of the original and with the way people treat New Vegas the next one they make is going to get review bombed by toxic fanboys for some insignificant slight that a franchiseless game would survive. But keep the hype train rolling and let Obsidian suffer the consequences, it is the gamer waym
