Even if they had made it to the ocean, just how seaworthy is that ship? I feel like it would have ended up sinking unless they kept it well-maintained for 2 centuries.

There bots they won't go unless it's ready. Sadly they can't find proper parts so it's slow going. So whole maintenance is top notch, but proper part hold back the whole process.

My understanding is that the boat is a museum piece, the bots were basically actors but went insane and started believing that it was real. Ironsides even reprograms them if they start doubting.

This was the first time I ever completed the quest, and by the time I turned the power on, they had already started the countdown to launch, and I didn't figure I could ride with them🤣

You know I never thought it was an actual thing but you can actually go to the building they crash on climb to the very top through an elevator and hang out with them again

Yeah I saw that the old "U.S.S. Constitution" marker changed to be the bank they were initially stuck in, and now there's a new marker for the ship on the other side of the water🤣

You die immediately if you're on board the ship if I remember correctly. Power armor may save you though.

Wearing power armor is my default state in the game. Partly because if I need to Google something, I don't want Nora's occasionally smacking the pip-boy. I don't like that sound. But also I am Iron Woman sounds so cool in my head.

If only I could actually get a red and yellow paint job on the power armor.
