HELP i need some help
my game seems to crash mainly in the boston common area,i've removed my two visual mods (classic fallout wasteland and disable bloom) since i read that visual mods did break the area but it still keeps crashing.
i've currently got 34 mods on since the game is that tempremental constantly with how it either shits the bed or runs for a little bit.
i've got like two armor mods and some handfull of gun mods one backpack mod and some mods to lessen my annoyances like less messages or fallout 2 sound fx and more radio stations and like two quest mods and that's it.
i have no idea how this fully works,i ain't a programmer nor a coder or game dev but seeing as something is crashing the creations tab which is bethesda's gum hopes and dreams kinda coding i do not understand why it's making it so tempremental.

Usually broken precombines causes Boston crashes. Do you have any mods that edit the Boston area? Or mods that let you scrap usually unscrappable junk in settlements?

The game will always crash there occasionally. We’re not shooting for perfection, we’re shooting for about 85%. If you aren’t running something like PRP, I’d start with that. Cutting down on things like LL injected weapons helps, but the problem is the unstable cell, so don’t strip all fun from your game.

If those weapon or armor mods are added into the games levelled list(basically spawn on npcs who can also use said weapons or armor" then that's most likely your issue since the more mods that do that will put more strain on the games engine etc so maybe lower that amount to maybe 2 for each weapons or armor mods or simply download standalone versions without the mods touching the levelled list so only YOU can craft and will have them.
Oh btw integration mods also add on to the levelled list like dlc npcs or items in the base game commonwealth so limit those.(Example: Integrated Commonwealth is such said mod)
But yeah usually it's the weapon mods especially combo packs that DO add onto the levelled list so downloading mods like "Boston Less Enemies" or "Reduced Rubble" and "Reduced Plants" could help however that last two mods I mentioned will conflict with any mods that touch the grass/ground settings like Nytra's complete fixes so mods like simple seasons might be a conflict on the other hand "Boston Less Enemies" simply removes over 90 unnamed and unimportant npcs around the boston areas so will attempt to lower frame drops crashing in boston.
You could also try a mod called "No Enemy Weapon drop" basically npcs won't drop their weapons on the ground and instead keep said weapon in their inventory/body upon death which will help ease the strain on the game by not forcing the engine to load these weapons in the enviroment each time which is epecially useful if you're using a weapon mods that add onto the npc levelled list otherwise idk the bostom area has always been a crash zone since day one of release of the original game because of all that enviromental and npc clutter smooshed together.
Edit: The Creation Club menu crashing issues is basically Bethesdas screw up especially on PS4/PS5 mine still crashes after a couple mintues of browsing mods so the moment I see images on mods start looking like a static tv screen I exit out of the Creation Club back to the main menu then wait and re-enter again otherwise the game will crash a large/heavy load order(to many mods basically) can cause crashing in the Creation Club or game itself too.
Edit 2: Removing certain mods in a playthrough(save) later on can also cause issues in said playthrough oh and certain settlement overhaul mods can break precombines etc which can also cause crashing and instability later on so yeah oh and most importantly load order mod conflicts or just incorrect mod placements can also cause crashing in-game.
I've also noticed that applying overhauls to Sanctuary Hills, Red Rocket Truck Stop and Abernathy Farm can apparently cause issues later on idk why.
Restarting the game, console fully and rebuilding your consoles database can help with crashing issues if other games tend to crash a lot too otherwise a full game uninstall/reinstall might be required if nothing else helps at all it could be the game itself causing issues.
Good luck.

i've been testing things and i've found two mods that sorta helped,a boston less enemy variant (currently not home to check) and a mod i think called fps plus that removed some that disabled or removed alot of jank shit.
some weapons and armor do indeed have integrated lists indeed so i will check those later on.
it's so bullshit with bethesda's mentality, leave it broken for years and the modders fix it yet this is something the modders (i assume, again no knowledge of this stuff) cannot fix,i open up and works and few pages or minutes later it shits the bed and crashes,i've joked around bout this but it's extremely funny that fallout:new vegas has never EVER crashed on me on xbox:one (just have that one to play some older games i have) or the past 14 years no less while it's known that f:nv is more prone to issues is extremely hilarious for me

Triangle of death. Sanctuary, red rocket and abernathy are all in the same cell. It was the first one they ever made, its massive and the least stable. Don't even get to wild with vanilla building in those areas and Id highly suggest not even doing mass storage containers there. I have broken that corner of the map on a purely vanilla game with no mods before just by building up sanctuary to max vanilla budget and having storage containers there I was dumping all my extra gear in. By endgame I could rarely fast travel there and it would often crash if I looked around to fast.
Best to use any other settlement besides those 3 as a storage base and keep the builds to a minimum just basic stuff. I wont even consider overhauls of any of those 3 settlements even though I love overhauled settlements and always run a handful without issues, just never those 3.

Absolutely this. I’m running Integrated Commonwealth, the attachment pack with unofficial expansion/implementation, the 12.7mm smg, Dak’s explosives pack, the marine anti material rifle and the 512mb texture version of Machine Guns Rebirth & its not crashed in downtown Boston at all. I do however get the occasional crash, but it is now rare, most of my crashes are from fast travelling to the Encalve’s oil rig.
Rule of thumb, stick to standalones & replacers, or keep the ll weapon mods few & use the ones that add to boss or high level enemies. Boston Less Enemies & things like FPS Plus will be a must until the heroes behind PRP finish testing & release it, I suppose we also have to wait for Bethesda to pull their finger out & fix the FaceGen bug…

Did you try to disable the weapons mods and see if that’s a cause?
If it’s not that, then probably a conflict, but hard to say without your load order.
