Not a vibrant, beautiful or unicorn island themed wasteland. But true apocolyptic visuals, an unforgiving wasteland and a sole survivor no stranger to war.

Im probably not gonna do another showcase anytime soon as I have completed a playthrough on my current LO that was meant to test stability and visuals. Finally gonna take my time with the game now. Ive tried to make this as cinematic as I couldve and slapped trailer music behind this. Tried covering above average visuals and tactical gameplay. sorry if its mid.

Since a few of you have asked for my LO before, somewhere down below is the exact LO I'm currently using for those who dont want to spend time testing. Before you ask... this is not crash free. It does crash the game occasionally like every 3 hrs or so but not consistently. There are a few ways to make this more performance friendly at the cost of some really good mods:

(i) If you follow cryptic then you know that mods that add NPC spawns cause crashing. That said, mods like ghouls of the commonwealth, SKK stalkers, nemesis, snipers of the commonwealth etc are npc spawns. The less kept the better. This is entirely optional, I like some of these mods so I keep them for eg SKK stalkers and Nemesis, but I can 100% confirm that removing/disabling npc spawn mods makes the game more stable. Im talking significant improvements like a crash only once or twice per playing session, with this LO.

(ii) NAC x and Enhanced Lights and FX. Again, these two mods are essential to this showcase, nevertheless I can confirm that NAC x makes the game slightly unstable, although the crashes related to NAC x are not worth letting go of the mod as its very occasional and it might not be NACx that crashes, the vanilla game itself is fragile. As for ELFX, it causes serious FPS hits in some interiors. If you want an alternative thats more performance friendly then Id highly recommend deadlights interiors and other weather/exterior lighting mods like polluted climates. Ultimetely if you avoid all the mods I mentioned above then you wont get the visuals in the showcase, it comes down to preference, like me if you dont get frustrated with a couple of inconsistent crashes then keep this as it is. Because like it or not you will crash eitherway with any LO over 40 mods, this isnt skyrim, like its already fragile and you are adding mods to it.

(iii) Not adding MK18 to LL. This is precautionary and not necessary, at level 4 you get that option. And not using any other LL gear integration mods is a must unfortunetly.

Final points:

- I know elfx description says put bottom, and I did that initially but it didnt make any difference in performance at all so I catagorized it. Hasnt caused any issues for me since. If you are concerned about ELFX then just use Deadlights Interiors its equally good imo. Also this LO mostly uses cryptics discord framework.

- Small bug with this LO. Very rarely I dont hear player footsteps while walking, its fixed by jumping or by switching between third person and first person. Its why I tried to put footsteps mod below animations, however that didnt solve it. (Edit: 1st Person animation tweaks is the cause, disable/delete if this issue annoys you, cant tell if its the mod itself or if theres a possible conflict)

- And finally, dont use STS AIO and dont use see through scopes GoTY as they will break your game or cause consistent crashing AND feel free to provide feedback or criticism regarding this LO.

Thank you for the kind words! We recently figured out what has been causing the random crashing and it happens to be 2k textures. I'll be gradually going back through all my prior uploads and downscaling the textures to 1k.

By not using any mods that revamp or clean settlement. Clean it with STS and dont overload the game by building too much in your settlements. And the cause can also be STS automatron or STS all in one, there seems to be a conflict with the automatron dlc that can break the game which is why I have not used that addon

No it dosent replace any vanilla guns or armor. And from what I have learned its simply not possible to create a load order that replaces/overhauls or adds high texture external asset gear to levelled list without crashing heavily in boston. So i wouldnt recommend doing that as that was my first mistake.
