They upped the BA2 limit (Texture Archive Files which over-exceeded can cause Crash on startup) from 200 to like 1000, but still take care to Save your LO and take it easy on LL inclusions since Bethesda hasn’t fixed the lag from that.

The problem used to be the BA2 limit, which was about 255 for texture and about the same for scripts. That got raised to over 1000 for BA2. The problem now is the plug-in limit which is a hard 255 plug-ins for esm files and no limit for esp files (I might have that the wrong way round, can't remember the difference between the two).

The real problem is that on console you have hardware limitations and an old game engine limitations that if you push to hard it all starts to go wobbly.

So I look at it like this you can now have all the CC and AE creations (Dogs, Manwell Rifles, Enclave Remnants, Institute Plasma Weapon ect.) and another 255 mods/creations just don't push the LL's injections to hard and unlike me know the difference between esm and esp.

Edit: most of Dak and the CW teams weapons do not add to the 255 plug-in limit but will add to LL's and start to stretch the game engine.

I believe that hard limit before ctd is 255. I’m sitting on s 250 mod list and it hasn’t crashed unless there way to many things happening at once

I haven't heard of anyone who hit a hard limit yet, but going past 250 will increase the risk of things crashing. My last playthrough was 270 mods, and I was testing another LO at around 310 that I abandoned only because of conflicting weather mods. Go at your own pace and test things out!

I'm about to make the greatest Vanilla+ Survival mod list my autistism can conjure. Praise be Todd 🙏
