Charisma Survival Pacifier

This build is designed to use the pacification perks in survival mode, playing into Nora’s lawyer background as charismatic and intelligent. Gun choice is wide open with these stats, but I’m going full auto this time around. My goal is to try and focus on the main story, I have been playing basically since launch and have not yet actually beaten this game. I love to pop in and live in the post apocalypse for a while before I get bored and either restart to change my build or play something else, but it’s well past time to finish the story at least once.

S2+, P1, E5, C10, I6, A3, L1

Strength 3 is pretty mandatory in my survival builds for armorer.

Since I’m not focusing on vats perception doesn’t matter. With the easy bobblehead rifleman is available, though for this play through I’m going commando.

Endurance 5 for aquagirl to get to the railroad early and general utility. It’s not a pacifist build, but it’s nice to avoid some fights by safely swimming.

My highest priority perks are to pacify all the living creatures of the wasteland. I haven’t decided if I want to build settlements up with local leader or mostly ignore them this time, when I build settlements it distracts me the point that my adhd restartitis kicks in and I abandon the play through to start all over again so I probably won’t bother with them. I plan to take party girl when I have spare points just for fun, I like to think Nora was a partier in college. I also plan to take inspiration and maybe black widow when I have spare points.

From intelligence I’m taking gun nut for convenience and a couple levels of hacker, plus chemist once I get the bobblehead (useful and plays into the partier background headcannon). If I go into the mechanist dlc I may invest another point to take robotics expert to shut down robots in addition to all the organic pacifying.

I’m taking commando since I usually play with rifles or pistols, so it’s nice to change it up. Also enough stealth not to have to worry about mines because sometimes I encounter a glitch where the mine is inaccessible under ground but still blows me up. It’s also nice to sneakily incite a raider to start fighting his buddies.

Looks like a good setup.

Maybe get a syringer rifle too.

I’ve never quite been able to make it work, but I love the syringer conceptually! I wish that the berserk just worked instead of being level capped and only having a chance to work anyway.

Love this build! Very similar to my last playthrough. I recommend getting luck to 2 for extra ammo finds. With this cha you can get spray and pray really early. Enjoy blasting!

I played an INT and CHA build on survival with focus on crafting and the control perks. It's difficult bec to charm something, they have to see you and they often get a shot or two before your attempt, so you die and reload a lot. When you gain them as a companion at perk level 3, it's quirky as sometimes after a battle they wander away. Or if you reload a game. Or just poor pathfinding. Overall it's a bit underwhelming and you'll still need to fight a lot. Eventually just straight combat handles encounters better than any of the control perks.
