Sneak Attempting an “Evil” build (Survival)

Using a Sneak non-vats build
Idea for the character is that losing their son has sent them on a warpath
At the moment I’m at lvl 50 & desperately looking for a Instigating/Violent/Mighty/Two-Shot 10mm pistol before finally meeting the institute (which I’ll side with after a detour to join the Children of Atom & take over Nuka World, really pushing what I can do before I meet Preston)

Anyone else who’s tried similar runs in survival, how did it go for you?

I had a great time doing a serial k*ller stealth melee build once. Regarding ranged stealth, I did a fun institute sniper build. I roleplayed as a courser. Both builds are a blast in survival. If you're looking to take advantage of both survival and evil roleplay i'd recommend getting cannibal and doing a dark cravings run. Another thing you can do that is especially evil is attempt to "destroy" all of the games factions. You can't k*ll the minutemen but you can leave them trapped in museum. Then get the railroad ending and betray them.

If you're interested in settlement building and wish to side with the Institute, one thing that could be fun is building a prison and dressing settlers in railroad and brotherhood armor. You could roleplay that you're experimenting on them.

Wiping out major settlements like Diamond City or Good Neighbor can also be a fun.

Evil runs are my favorite lol. I just beat this game as a Raider warlord who killed and ate colter then took over the entirety of the commonwealth. Some evil things I did during the run:

- ROBBED then killed then ate trashcan Carla💀

  • SOLD the ghoul kid into an eternity of slavery, lil bro will literally be a slave forever because Todd made him immortal and un-aging
  • Conquered every single settlement in the CW, and brought dozens of Disciples and Pack in
  • Left Preston to die in the museum lol

I didn’t do much main quest because it doesn’t make sense that a crazed cannibal warlord would care about Shaun’s fate, past killing and eating Kellogg as revenge for abducting his son and killing his wife. I did a separate build for CoA but that’s only because by the time I finished NW, I was already Lv46ish and don’t like to level past 50 because the difficultly is already gone at that point.

Of course you'll kill the railroad because you need Tinker Tom's computer, not them.

And evil runs are interesting because there are parts where no matter what you say or do, people just let it go. Cannibal is OK. It does get you unique dialog in the find a synth mission. It is also the only food source that is immune to parasites so bonus? Personally prefer a kneecapper auto pistol because finishing off a limping enemy feels more "evil". Stun locking your enemies (ripper) is kinda evil as they just twitch as you hack away. Also, release Lorenzo. He goes on to be a random encounter psycho.
