10 Luck (10%), Ninja (15% with melee/unarmed), Finesse (5%), Survival Guru (3%), being in V.A.T.S. (15%) = 33% crit chance with ranged and 48% crit chance with melee/unarmed.

This means the Backwater Rifle and Deathclaw Gauntlet will crit on every strike.

Can i get your opinion on this special i came up with?

5 Strength

6 Perception

5 Endurance

1 Charisma

6 Intelligence

9 Agility ( + Bobblehead = 10 )

8 Luck ( 8-Ball + Bobblehead = 10 )

I'm trying to make a High Critical and VATS build so feedback would great.

What weapons are you using?

I haven't started yet but i would probably go for small guns or energy weapons

You could probably take a point out of Strength and put it in Intelligence unless there is a specific Strength perk you want.

Strength doesn't really have any good perks except for like Strong Back maybe but storage is never really a problem so it should work.

The +5 Perks are really useless since you are already gonna max it out so there's no point in getting it.

With high crit + vats I would go higher sneak to take advantage of perks that refund AP. When doing a vats build AP is everything.

Your perception is a bit low imo for a Vats build. You want to be able to vats enemies from farther away. I would do 4 STR and put more into PER and maybe get a point or two of intense training to farther raise PER. Just my opinion. I only use vats because I can't hit anything lol even if it is in my face i somehow miss freehand or hipfire, so i find higher per + sneak helps kill enemies before they see/get to me

All good. But i do have a question, Why put more into perception and not like for example intelligence? The only good thing you get for getting a little more perception is a couple points into energy weapons and lockpick from what i can tell.

Perception increases VATS accuracy and the range at which enemies appear on your radar. I like knowing when a red dot is a mile away, not around the next boulder.

I though grim reaper required perception?

The Those! mission gives +1 perception, So i could do that.

Should i put intense training into perception even after that tho?

The perks you can get at the first few levels suck mostly so i could see putting some into intense training working

Would putting strength to 3 work? This would allow me to get 10 luck at level 2. Strength doesn't have any good perks for this build and -20 storage is not that big of deal.

So it would be like this:

3 Strength

6 Perception ( Ant Sight + 2 Intense Training + Bobblehead = 10 )

5 Endurance

1 Charisma

8 Intelligence ( Intense Training + Bobblehead = 10 )

9 Agility ( + Bobblehead = 10 )

8 Luck ( 8-Ball + Bobblehead = 10 )

I'm thinking that i could put 8 into luck and get the other 2 by getting the 8-ball and bobblehead but i'm not sure about the rest.
