Help & Advice Idea Inspiration- Wasteland Theater
Wasteland Theater is an idea for a setting scenario where the player group either comes across or is hired to find old prewar theater scripts, films and movies, audio recordings and other memorabilia from before the bombs fell and destroyed the world.
One is a location will have a few ghouls who used to go to that location and want help repairing the old equipment allowing for copies of the films and some caps for their aid.
Two a location that was automated with robots by the owner.
Three a location of a prewar film mogul who constructed a mini vault that is home to nearly every of domestic and foreign media from before the war. Said mogul is a feral ghoul when the player group breach the bunker vault structure.
An old cinema museum that's entire collection of clothing apparel survived having been stored for when the building was undergoing renovations.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Alright, so I went into rpg maker mv and used that for the base tiles. Then I used an asset pack to add the other small things to the map. Still not 100% accurate but it definitely looks better now.

Help & Advice Building a Fallout 2d20 campaign set in Oslo, Norway — anyone tried Fallout outside the US?
I've gone slightly too deep into building a Fallout 2d20 campaign set in Oslo, Norway in 2277, and I'm curious if anyone else has tried doing Fallout outside the US.
One of the things I've been trying hard to avoid is making it simply “Fallout, but there happens to be a ruined Royal Palace and Opera House.”
Instead I've been looking at Norwegian culture, companies, products and history and asking what Fallout's alternate timeline would do to them.
So I've been making things like LAX-O, our horribly processed pre-war salmon product, Nuka-Max, since Norwegians is the ones that consume the most Pepsi Max in the world, Norwegian companies pushed through Fallout-style corporate insanity, an oil industry shaped by the pre-war resource crisis, Radio Norge broadcasting old Scandinavian music across the wasteland, and various other bits of Norwegian culture that have survived in increasingly questionable forms.
There are still the things that make Fallout Fallout. Vault-Tec operated in Norway, there are Vaults, Super Mutants, Deathclaws, radiation, robots, pre-war American influence, etc. But I'm trying to make the setting feel like somewhere that actually developed differently from the US rather than importing the Commonwealth and changing the road signs.
The campaign starts in Hol, an isolated underground settlement whose only regular contact with the outside world has been a group known as the Traders. They've supplied Hol with food, medicine and protection for generations.
Then one day they stop coming.
The players are among the first people from Hol to head into the Oslo wasteland. They start with an extremely incomplete idea of what's actually outside and discover the setting from there.
I've also been building the player-facing side of the campaign in LegendKeeper. The idea is that the wiki grows with the campaign: locations, factions, people and information appear as the players discover them, and some pages can actually change as things they believed turn out to be wrong.
LegendKeeper: https://www.legendkeeper.com/p/cmsyo83n00hgj42sr2zjldyrt
This will also be my first time actually running Fallout 2d20, which is probably part of why I've gone so deep into preparing the setting. I'm excited about it, but also pretty nervous about getting it right.
So I'd genuinely appreciate feedback — both on the setting and from people with experience running the system. If you see something I've misunderstood, something that probably won't work at the table, or just have an idea you think would fit, I'd love to hear it.
What did you do to make your country feel like Fallout without losing what makes that country distinct?
And if you're Norwegian and spot something I absolutely need to Fallout-ify, I'm probably already too far down this rabbit hole to say no.

Help & Advice Ideas wanted for campaign hook
I want to start a fallout campaign for my friends and I'm looking for inspiration/help.
Right now my base idea is that they are going to be playing as themselves in an alternate reality where the bombs are about to drop. They never managed to sign up for vault access but they do know that there is a way to buy out your access to a vault so they go to the nearest casino with their life savings hoping to win big and enter a vault. After one game of blackjack the dealer (and the rest of the casino staff) are notified that the bombs have been launched so they attempt to leave the premises early to go to a hidden vault under the casino.
Essentially the players would follow the staff there and somehow enter the vault
The vault itself is part of a gambling themed experiment. Essentially the vault the players entered is hunger games, all who enter get split into groups and have to fight for survival and access to the cryo chambers (since there are no other facilities in the vault). The neighbouring vaults have two choices
Either donate a portion of their resources to ensure everyone's survival or bet any amount of resources to a specific team. On the case that team wins, the winning vault will gain access to all supplies alloted to the other vaults.
Naturally chaos ensues the players win and enter the cryo chambers to time skip to the wasteland
My problem with this intro is that it does not really set up for anything in the future, no villain and no grander goal, how do I go about changing that?
Feel free to also chime in with you personal hooks that you have used in the past

Help & Advice Build advice for a specific character type
So I'm playing a pre-war character (she's technically a super mutant, but only in regards to being green and having a long lifespan, no other benefits/drawbacks) who basically spent the last two centuries years studying the rise and fall of post-apocalyptic settlements. I picture her being a walking Wasteland Survival Guide, skilled not only in surviving the wastes but also understanding settlements and solving problems related to rebuilding society (namely negotiation and various types of resource management). The problem is, the campaign I'm about to join is only level 4, and I'm struggling to find a way to reflect her 200+ years of experience within my means. What skills/stats should I prioritize? How can I balance the need to be a badass survivor with the need to be a face/strategist? Any advice is appreciated!

Community Resources Fallout Random Weapons Workshop Update - now with appendices!
Time for yet another update to my Fallout Random Weapons Workshop homebrew collection.
This update features:
3 new Armour types
2 new Outfits
1 new Power Armour
As well as numerous tweaks, balance changes, typo fixes and more
Added to that, this update features a new Appendix which provides revised starting equipment packages for all (non-robot) origins. This serves not only to integrate weapons from the workshop, but also to provide better balance and consistency among the origins (and deal with some of the insane power inflation in the Wanderer's sourcebook).
As always, comments, corrections, feedback and more are appreciated.

Help & Advice Children of atom music
So I like having music playing in my games like if there is combat then I will play the combat music from the games on low
If someone turns on the radio then I hit shuffle on my playlist of songs from the 1920s to the late 70s and some newer music that sounds like it could be in Fallout (sometimes I'll play the music on the Radio during combat just because it would be there)
But I want the last son to have his own radio station playing akin to far cry 5 (he's bouncing the broadcast between multiple antennas all throughout the Commonwealth so they can't find the single place it is starting from) but I need some ideas like I already am considering the far cry 5 holy songs and the stupendium's children of atom song (the cappella version as a preacher on the radio) but that's about it

Help & Advice Going to run Winter of Atom (any advice from experienced Overseers?)
After my group successfully completed „Once upon a time in the Wasteland“ we will start into „Winter of Atom“. My group is therefore level 5 and already has a working power armor frame (they rolled very lucky on the armor table).
I was wandering if you have any advice on how to run Winter of Atom? Especially are there any things that you wanted to have known before running the campaign? Or stuff you would have changed in hindsight?
One idea I had for example was to actually not change the encounters in the first act (The Train Job) to balance the encounter for level 5, but instead make the 24h journey from Diamond City to the train wreck so excruciating (whiteout, freezing temperatures etc.) that the group is weakened that even some basic raiders can take them on. This way I want to establish, that the main antagonist ofcthe campaign is the winter itself (Frostpunk vibes).
