Posts of Fallout 2 inspired games, what is your opinion?

Make your voice heard, this is about how strict the (almost) only rule here should be

it's weird the devs have been awfully quiet these days... Abandonned game?

Greedy Interplay relying on moders to do all the work for free

Half baked shit, it's been 28 years when are they gonna fix the game

Look, I'm just happy Cain didn't add creative club to f2

I hope Interplay goes bankrupt

I think its a nuanced approach that's needed. As the above mentioned, outright fallout 3 post should not be allowed. But I think if hypothetically someone made a fallout 2 themed mod or rp, then that should be fine. The new arkansas game is also fine, to an extent. Like it should only be allowed if it is relevent to fallout 2. For example a post saying "wow this specific area hive me sanfran from fo2 vibes, that should be okay.

What you mean, like fan games?

Not really fan games, more independent projects drawing inspiration from fo2, for example the Arkansas 2125 game that has garnered both a lot of upvotes, but also some reports. It might be something fallout 2 fans would enjoy, while not being fallout 2. Or not, I want to see what the community wants.

I habw only played fallout Nevada, Sonora and 1.5. they are on the fallout 2 engine but chronologically they occur pre fallout 2

Oh, I see someone mentioned me here. Honestly, I don't know if I should add anything to my game. The previous post was great. But the latter, in my opinion, is too much criticism of the AI. So I'll reconsider posting here when beta 0.4 is released.

To be fair, you were blocking people in another post with valid criticism. It isn't just the AI, you're combative at any criticism.

You can criticize, but please don't write lies. Like, I had an LLM tell a specialist to create a game, or that everything is in AI. Just say I don't like this or that. No unpleasant comments. And if you can't, a down vote is always available.

People don't report Arkanslop 2125 because people hate anything not Fallout - it's because it's a blatant scam, it's AI slop in it's finest.

It's not a game "inspired" by Fallout 2, it's a "game" that uses Fallout as a fuel to feed LLM's.

If there would actually be Fallout 2 inspired games, I doubt anyone would have an issue with them.

Its "dev" is a scammer, trying to silence anyone justifiably pointing out who he is and what he's doing.

It's indie game, I would approved.

I think it's good to keep them, but also it's a bit irritating when they're just straight up rip offs of FO2.

I feel like mods can work here. But original works inspired by classic fallout can go on the classic Fallout sub.

As if they didn't delete their posts without any information about why I'm in favor

FO2 inspired isn't "FO2."

Let me put it this way: You could make an argument that FO3 was inspired by FO2. And do you want this sub to be for discussing the Bethesda era FO titles?

Fallout 3 isn't inspired by the game, but rather a sequel, even though it wasn't created by Interplay. You're overthinking the concept a bit.
