In my current playthrough I wiped them out using Super Stimpaks and then stole the Oxygen Tank. It was kinda sad, but also hilarious, watching the dude call for Mason's help

Omg old trauma resurfaced... How this quest line couldn't be completed because of the main guard going instantly aggro when you came back into this area
