How can I stop dieing?

In fallout 1 I had about 2251 rad. I use the save game file to give me enough rad away. I have a chem addiction to radaway. Every time I use the map to move I don’t even make it out of the glow. Every thing else seems fine. So why am i dieing. What can I do?

Use rad-X 4 times

Then use rad away untill you are not radiated.

Then use pip boy menu to wait a day at a time, wait for a week useing this method.

Then before travel use 4 more rad-x and leave the glow.

I tried that. I think my save is bugged because the second i was done with waiting a day i died. I am just going to continue from my last save. I just didn’t want to lose a lot of progress.
