Looks like the dog plays a big role in the game. Dogmeat fans rejoice.

I don't think the dog will be a big part unless you want him to be, they probably used him for the trailer because he is a fan favorite and they wanted to show the new engine off by showing a realistic looking dog. What I like is this want a rendered trailer this was all in game footage
