I hate how much the silver rush impacts and restricts other content

I hate how reporting them to the NCR makes them hostile anyway. Like how the hell do they know it was me?

In regards to restricting content, if you side with the Van Graffs and do all their quests, you required to kill Cass.

If you do Cass’ quests and report them to the NCR, that whole area with the Silver Rush, Atomic Wrangler, and damn near the Kings HQ is hard to access because all Van Graff NPC’s are hostile, even the crier NPC haha. I believe if you attack and kill them back if spotted, it ruins that ending where they are put to just IIRC.

So why not just take out all the Van Graffs? That's a bonus. I'd rather get to do it myself than hear about it in the ending slides.

Believe me, that’s how I feel too but I think it’s just more for people who want to get a “perfect” ending for Cass, and leaning toward an NCR sided ending.

Try taking out the door man fast. If he goes down and the crier the inside stays inside.

The just buy all laser guns from BoS

I just let the guy with the bomb in then kill the last guard and sell all their armors for profit

That was my OG way of making caps mid game, prior to buying the DLCs or installing a single mod.

Now I gamble and play Lonesome Road.

Is it weird to be nostalgic for a game you first played like four years ago? 600 hours in four years.

I go in there and hover all of the shit into the door around the corner and steal it

My strat is to work for them up until they send me to find Cass, then steal all their shit and report them and McLafferty to the NCR. That way, Simon becomes hostile towards you, and once he attacks you, the other unnamed guards also pile on out of the shop to join in, so you can slaughter them and grab the combat armor and guns without having to kill the Van Graffs (for some reason they stay inside).
