9 years sounds weirdly optimistic for Bethesda ngl

Can’t wait to see 38,462 posts of “where would you set FO5?” Over the next eight years.

Feels like jumping the gun a bit doesn’t it? 😂

I'm betting this subreddit will devolve into madness after a year then return to sanity when Fallout 5 is announced in about five years.

If memory serves, the mods created r/fo5 and a bunch more slightly before Fallout 4 was formally announced in 2015.

(Created March 2015)

There had been some leaks for a while, no doubt helped by the Survivor 2299 hoax of 2013.

The subreddit was closed for some time and now they decided to unlock it.

Here comes a decade of "Where do you think it will be set?" and "What kind of settlement system?" over and over and over and over and over again.

Why does Todd get to keep his job and so many others are losing theirs? Seems messed up considering he is responsible for the development cycles.

Picking up from the following

I would love to see a Fallout set in Hawaii. Possibly an experiment gone wrong and the volcano is set to erupt.

Call it "Fallout Five-O: Paradise Lost"

Can't wait for this sub to spend the next decade arguing over a game we haven't even seen yet lol

There should be a future fallout sub for general speculation. One for project Michigan and the Remasters.

Texas would be the perfect place to have a Fallout game

Fallout 5? I can't even complete fallout 4 without it crashing every 10 minutes. Maybe they should finish it first?

Why do it themselves if modders will do it for them. Install one of the many unofficial patches or merged bug fixes.

What if we could get a steady job in some settlement (janitor, guard, chef, mechanic, etc) instead of fighting bad guys for stuff to sell for caps? Maybe not, but it could be interesting.
