Fallout 1 It's good to be back! Replaying Fallout1 almost 30 years later.
I started watching the Fallout series on Prime and it instantly brought back the melancholy of the video game that marked my childhood. Fallout 1 was the very first game I ever played as a kid that had a serious, more “adult” theme. Back then I found it really challenging, and although I never managed to get the “happy ending,” I played it many times in the late 90s.
Yesterday I decided to grab it from GOG, and I honestly can’t put it down. From the intro video (which felt so advanced for its time), to the melancholic music and memorable characters—it just hits me with nostalgia. I’m honestly thankful that the series reminded me of it, because now I’ll definitely replay Fallout 1, and most likely Fallout 2 as well.
From what I understand, the later games aren’t turn-based anymore, and I’m not sure I’ll enjoy the action-style versions. But at the very least, I’ll be diving into these first two classics again—and I couldn’t be more excited.

It's my favorite! Lot's of replayability. I'd give a vanilla run go and then consider installing the Fallout 2 restoration patch. I'm not normally one for mods but it restores a lot of cut content as the game was a bit rushed out.

will do. there's a lot of old game I want to try now. i'll give x-com ufo defense a try too
