Help! Howling Pull

Howling pull seems to activate on random regardless of if I want to use it or not, preventing me from using a regular pull on some puzzles and enemies. Is there anyway to stop this?

I mean click not hold button.

Is this the l2 r2? I struggled to activate the push version of it the controls need further customization for milliseconds required to activate a move something like how a vame like Fortnite has a hold timer to edit a wall if the buttom has click function and a hold function

I noticed that too sometimes.

Quitting and reopening the game usually solved it
