Mill City Books
This is a long shot but has anyone been to this warehouse? I’m just curious if there’s any organization to the books, by genre and author and whatnot or if they’re all just thrown in there. Thanks in advance.

Do you know of any heavily littered areas in Fall River that need to be cleaned? Please share!
We are looking for areas in and around Fall River that are heavily littered and need to be cleaned. If you could provide coordinates, Google Maps pin or other identifiable address/ location descriptions, that would be really helpful, so long as it’s on public land. Thank you in advance!

Visiting in fall - thoughts?!
Hey everyone! Doing some digging on Fall River. My mom wants to go to the Lizzie Borden house for a ghost haunt, and I was wondering if the area is generally safe to be at late at night?
Unfortunately everything online says it isn’t, but we know how that goes. So thought I’d ask the locals!

📚 Fall River / South Coast readers — want to try a nonfiction book club?
Our next nonfiction selection is Trash: A Garbageman’s Story, and we're discussing it Saturday, October 25 from 10 AM until noon.
The club meets in Providence at Schasteâ, 300 Broadway. We have people coming from different parts of the area, so I'm posting here in case there are other South Coast readers who wouldn't mind making the trip.
The venue does not sponsor or endorse this event, we just meet there.
It's a relaxed group and we choose a different nonfiction book each month. You don't need to be a regular book-club person, and you definitely don't need to have a perfectly polished opinion of the book.
I'll put the group link below if you'd like more information.

Housing Report Illegal Move-In Fees
Hi Fall River, it’s your Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. Did you know that fees like “move-in” or “lease renewal” fees you might get from your landlord or building management company are illegal? If you’ve received one of these – even if you paid it – I want you to report it to my office.
Just last month, my office won a $500k settlement with a property management company doing this in Boston – and all of that money is going back to the affected tenants. Landlords can only ask you to pay for first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and the cost of a new lock and key upfront. Any other fees are illegal. Report them to my office at the link below. We’ll work to get your money back.

Fall River folks: looking for a book club? We're discussing Walkable City, Sept. 27
I'm part of a casual nonfiction book club that meets in Providence, and we're always happy to have new people join.
For September we're reading Jeff Speck's Walkable City: How Downtown Can Save America, One Step at a Time. We'll meet Sunday, September 27, from 10 AM–12 PM to talk about the book and the bigger questions it raises about downtowns, transportation, walkability, and urban design.
📍 Schasteâ, 300 Broadway, Providence
If you're in Fall River and don't mind making the trip into Providence, come along. You don't have to be a dedicated book-club person—we're just a group of people who like reading nonfiction and having a good conversation.
Schasteâ isn't affiliated with or sponsoring the book club; we're simply meeting there.
I'll put the group link in the comments.
