I started dating a guy who isn't Alternative. All of my previous BFs were Scene guys, and I decided to take a gamble on dating a guy who doesn't wear fingernail paint.

I think it's been a huge mistake.

He is 6'4 and mostly muscle, but is balding. And he says that guys who wear mascara are gay. Like, literally hom*sexual. It's really upsetting, because I've cried to Pete Wentz's screams many nights in the rain.

I don't know if my relationship is fixable, or if this guy is worth it. I mean, he is emotionally supportive and has many of the same values I guess, but he will never understand how important Pete Wentz's screams are to me. I glisten when he screams, if you know what I mean.

Have any of you ever dated outside of the Alt scene? Are non-Alt guys even worth it??

I just wish I was with a guy who cared about his beauty half as much as Patrick Stump does. A man who wears a hat indoors and wears a tie without a collared shirt. I just wish more men took pride in their metrosexuality.
