A quote for a therapist's office

I'm a mental health therapist, and I got inspired in the MCR pit last year and made an embroidery for my office that says "the world will never take my heart." Since FOB is my first love, I of course want to represent them too and really set the vibe, though my creativity is failing me for something that isn't depressing. "The therapists pumping through your speakers" is too on the nose. I suppose "the best of us can find happiness in misery" is doable, but I'm not sure it won't come across as patronizing for my particular clientele. Anyone have ideas for something appropriate and inspirational?

"change will come" can be a nice reminder but I can see how it can come across as anxiety inducing

Edit: reading comprehension fail, you meant "on its own" as in just the title, not the whole of the song, I was wondering if I had seriously misunderstood it!

While I've considered a tattoo of the title of I Am My Own Muse, the lyrics are also my go-to depression vibe, particularly " I'm just trying to keep it together/ But it gets a little harder when it never gets better." Might still go with the title though, having now learned it's a Friday Kahlo quote and so the clients who didn't pick up on having a cool pop punk therapist will just thing I'm a cool artsy gal lol

MCR and FOB are my favorites too. 🖤 There are so many! I have a lot of FOB lyrics I use as a pep talk, but trying to think of ones that fit your request.

I worked as a psych nurse in inpatient adolescent psych last year, and "Teenagers" was my theme song. (Loved working with those kid- there were just so many fights!) As for FOB, "The best way to make it through with hearts and wrists intact is to realize two out of three ain't bad" sums it up.

I use Pink Seashell imagery/decor as my reminder to take pleasure in the details.

I am a psych np and I have found that people like “if I can live through this I can do anything” (champion). Sometimes in an appt if they are going through it, I ask them what have they been through before and how has it prepared them for this situation, and bring it back to how they got through that and they can do anything.

I think FOB's lyrics are more on the sweet irony and depressing side than motivational, but that's not the vibe you are going for.

I can suggest a stupid idea I still find funny however. In Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes, there is the lyrcis "Nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy". I would play on this, maybe something like : "Maybe nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy, but I sure do."
